  1. Starting at Round 4: Some good scores all round, with @SmogDane and @AnglianRed grabbing a joint Manager of the Week award.

  2. Exactly it’s an outrageous power grab and should be resisted by the other 86 clubs.

  3. Sickening if that is pushed through.

  5. He already said he feels they should help as the lower league clubs existence helps PL a lot in terms of players they develop who go on to play in top league. Also said younger and unproven managers start of in lower leagues before PL clubs take a chance on them.

  6. They are decent especially when you consider their population is only about 11,5 million, but I don’t think that’s taken into consideration. There is no way that are better than Brazil, Germany or Denmark in my opinion.

  7. Paddy starts with Northern Ireland. No Saville in squad. Hopefully Paddy starting tonight means he gets a breather on Wednesday from a purely selfish boro point of view

  8. Yes the idea of wearing a mask is to protect others. It’s amazing how many people can’t get their heads around this. Wear a mask and save others.

  9. The biggest issue in all of that is the special status thing. It basically allows the biggest 6 clubs to change whatever they like in the future. So these proposals would probably just be the start.

  10. The Premier League have criticised the proposal and Rick Parry.

  14. Have those ITK nothing at all to say about the transfer situation or have they been silenced by their contacts? Thanks for past snippets. Anyhow this thread now seems redundant as it is weeks since anything was posted of any note, just speculation.

  15. Yeah dude, issues from earlier in the week reared their head again yesterday, but it's all good now, I'm in the middle of doing everything as we speak, should have everything ready to post in the next hour

  16. Judging by several Gazette articles it seems Warnock gave an interview to talksport this week. Unfortunately cant find link to interview but in todays artivle in gazette he talking "about adding 1 or 2 more" to squad before friday. Be interested to know if he means 1 or 2 more in addittion to Roberts or if Roberts is part of the 1 or 2? I assume in his head Roberts is done so must mean former. Or I hope he does.

  17. It seems odd that we’re holding off announcing both Fletcher’s injury and Roberts signing. As someone said yesterday - maybe Fletcher’s long injury lay off is being suppressed so that other club’s can’t sense that our desperation to sign a striker. Then once we negotiate and complete signing the striker, we’ll also announce the signing of Roberts alongside the negative of Fletcher’s injury? 2 positives and 1 negative would balance it out.

  18. There have been failings across all echelons of society this year, from top to bottom. But I had hoped after the catastrophic damage the first lockdown did (to the economy, mental health and children's welfare in particular) that our elected leaders would try to strike a better balance between protecting the most vulnerable members of society against a virulent pandemic on the one hand, and the incalculable health, social, educational, economic and cultural damage being wrought by lockdowns on the other. People will be dying prematurely for years - decades - from diseases not diagnosed or

  19. Hi everyone. I am a long term lurker on all 3 Boro "main" forums and decided that Oneboro is probably the safest haven for me (I do not really have an opinion on politics etc and the other boards sometimes appear top heavy with that topic). My 1st memory of a Boro game was a FA cup replay against Wolves at Ayresome Park in 1981. I remember being scared when my dad got separated from me into a different queue because it was heaving. I mean i was only 27. (I do enjoy humour btw), i was really 9. I look forward to getting stuck into some serious Boro talk.

  20. In the telegraph it's being reported how the Premier League bug clubs are going to try to use this conavirus to overhaul English football to their advantage 😞. Reducing the Premier League from 20 clubs to 18. But in return will give 25% of Premiership revenue to the EFL to be distributed prorata to EFL clubs. Whilst promotion will be top 2 in championship then 3,4,5th play the Premiership 16th Club. I feel like this is simply a power grab by the big clubs.

I could be wrong, but I think the second yellow was so soft that the referee knew exactly what he was doing when he did it. No chance he'd have given a yellow card for such a minor incident if he'd thought it was leading to a red card.

Very lucky considering Martinez got two yellows but got away with it due to the penalties not being regarded as the same game, which doesn't really make sense to me

Sorry mate I added a bit more.

Yeah, I get that. Like last night, Real Madrid were played off the park by Man City but have scraped through to a major semi-final because City couldn't finish and they've scrapped away goals. Tonight, Aston Villa were lucky to beat Lille on penalties, who were much the better team on the night.

I suppose I'm the opposite.  I don't like penalty shoot outs, they have nowt to do with a game of football really.  Be like settling The Masters with a putting competition or something.  Obviously they are a necessary evil but I'd prefer matches to be sorted out with an actual game of football.  Agree about the FA Cup final but the FA bottled that one a while back by pandering to the Premier League.  It's quite a weak governing body unfortunately, and has been since they decided to cut their own throats and back the Premier League.  That was more about trying to stitch up the Football League than it was about the long term benefits to either themselves or football in general.  They stuffed themselves as well though the morons.
