  1. With the international break giving us time to breathe, we've had a look at the emergence of Anfernee Dijksteel and Marc Bola in the Boro defence. The diamonds in the rough are finally shining. https://erimusfootball.com/2020/11/12/diamonds-in-the-rough/

  2. Or, to turn it round, despite personal or family problems, he made a really special effort to help his country out in a hugely important match? Wasn’t is described as a family emergency? Warnock seemed understanding of his decision not to travel to Brentford, so you would imagine it is something pretty significant. Just hope it all ends well for him and he can get back to playing immediately after international break, without anything weighing on his mind.

  3. God help them. I've a friend who moved over for work a couple of years ago and had the decision of whether to start following Wednesday or United. He picked Wednesday.

  4. That's the trouble. If we win it's expected and no real shame on them. If they win, we'll never hear the end of it.

  5. Fixed it again @Blanco 😉

  6. Agree @Blanco. Ultimately Sheff Weds aim this season is survival and he pretty much guarantees that. I am glad he been appointed now rather than later on as hopefully by time we play them after boxing day, the so called honeymoon period will be over. That said he could in long term bore them up the league and dont think anyone affiliated to Sheff Wed would care about the football. I believe Warnock has a decent record v Pulis.

  7. Haha and I clearly wasn't looking properly that you had sent this reply after replying to my post or I would not have responded above.

  8. I know someone in the Wednesday playing squad, he's just moved to them in October. He isn't "a Pulis" type player in the slightest, think he will be thinking the exact same! 😂

  11. Week Nine We have a new leader! @Blanco has knocked @Youngy228 off the top spot, but the top 6 are only separated by 3 points so it is still anyone's title. At the other end of the table, @Borodane has finally moved off the bottom. Biggest movers this week - @DanFromDownSouth has jumped up 5 places from 19th to 14th, while @smogsterking the Inspirati has dropped 5 places from 3rd to 8th

  13. I just hope that whatever it is ends up being ok for them. The football can wait.

  14. Maybe you can talk Warnock into taking over after he "retires" again... can see it being the sort of challenge he would go for ... worked with Big Jack and wouldn't even have to move from Cornwall

  18. Roberts excelled whilst at Celtic and had an impressive record at U16, U17, U18, U19 and U20 for England but outside of that he hasn't been a resounding success at other clubs. That he has tremendous skill and dribbling ability isn't in doubt but apart from that very important Boro goal last season he has only ever scored for Celtic. He has never managed to score for Fulham, Girona or Norwich. In 55 games for Celtic he amassed 15 goals which understandably is why he is held in such high esteem up there. We have seen first hand how great Scotland's finest goal scorers perform at Champ

  19. Warnock has built a solid spine in the Team from an experienced and very vocal Goalkeeper to a defensive back line in front of him that is the tightest in the EFL. Bringing in the tenacity of Morsy with the experience of Howson and the savvy Saville who can maybe nick the odd goal (which is what he was actually bought for in the first place) provides a very strong and dominant midfield that don't get bossed about or brushed aside in games. In the matches that we have played so far our Midfield has for most of the time been on top which in turn takes massive pressure off the defence. The

As soon as  I saw this I liked it even if it's a template to work from it just seems right.   The blue and black element is Ideal for away kits. Who doesn't like the Inter colours

Not even bothered. Season dead. We will lose, but it's all about recruitment for next season now. Bin loan players off if we have no intention of signing them. Give our own players a chance.

this pritty much nails it, don't need to go reiventing the wheel with it or but a modern twist .  Shape, colours, perfect.  Club and town Identity and history involved and looks dancing in my opinion.  Ships or the transporter happy with either.

It probably goes against the grain for many but the Transporter Bridge isn't exactly iconic apart from an eight mile radius South, East and West of it. It's not even given a thought by people living to the North side of the Tees. Let's face it, it's usually under repair and out of order and even when "operational" neither practical nor functional. Being brutal, the Tees Flyover or even Newport Bridge are probably more recognised by people from outside of the area. Granted, it's old and quaint but other than that it's hardly the Tyne Bridge or Sydney Harbour Bridge which we built and I wouldn't want either of those on the badge. The Wilton Cooling towers are more instantly connected to Teesside by the rest of the Country and that (hopefully) isn't a consideration. If we do have to have something additional to the rampant Roary then let it be the ships which is a nod to our past and with the upcoming Freeport a nod to a hopefully successful future plus we know how supportive SG has been towards the Freeport. The Hogwarts badge coincides with the bleakest period at the Riverside and far from me being superstitious but it does seem more than a coincidence. Personally I'd prefer to revert to the badge which encompassed the most successful period in our 150 year history with just a subtle change of date.
