Anyone see Kike's (miss him) goal against Madrid? If you haven't you need to, it's ridiculous. Edit: Here's a link... https://streamvi.com/watch/16084961243 points

He's already got a goal and an assist in 3 appearances, I think he'd definitely be able to do a job if given a chance.2 points

Bolasie makes more sense than Grosicki. Firstly Bolasie has more pace and is more direct than Grosicki which suits how we play. Secondly Bolasie is more effective playing on left than Grosicki is and its left where we are weaker than right as we got decent options on right in Tav, Watmore and Roberts if he stays. Johnson done well on left of late but Bolasie would be an upgrade. @Robin Johnson i get your reservation on Bolasie not done much in past few seasons but you forgetting one important factor. Warnock. He knows how to bring best in lad and you cant underestimate a mana1 point

I really don’t get this acceptance of Bolasie. He has done absolutely nothing for years! Whilst at Villa, he disappointed and undelivered. Ironically it is claimed he only had 2 half decent games- v Derby, and v us! This was 2 years ago and went back to Everton. will he have improved 2 years on? I can’t see it. To me it is an enormous gamble, and the guy is living on the player he was 4 years ago. This is the reality. I believe we are being sucked in to bringing in a player whose best days are behind him. I could be wrong- I’d much prefer the Polish winger at West Brom. To me would m1 point

Our current team is very different to the team that we had going into the January transfer window of the 2015/16 promotion season. Firstly, our first 11 isn't anywhere near the same quality. Back then we had loads of quality individuals and equally impressive depth, but just needed a bit of magic from #10 position in Ramirez as Fabbrini just wasn't consistent enough and had awful decision making. We signed Rhodes and sold Kike, but that wasn't particularly needed. I think we're as high as 6th because Warnock has us overperforming and that we've been fortunate to avoid injuries - though Wa1 point

3 goals from the midfield in one game, wheyyyy.1 point

To be honest, I think Watmore could be the midfield dynamo we've missed for several seasons. He's already galvanised the team and taken games by the scruff of the neck. I'm not saying Watmore is as good as Ramirez was on his day (his goal against Bournemouth in the PL still makes the hairs stand up on the back of my neck when I watch it), but he's a creative and clever player of the sort we've lacked for years. Plus I still have hopes that Browne will come good - especially given how Bola and Dijksteel have improved this season.1 point

One more Boro v Birmingham fact I meant to add which I came across in one of my scrapbook, we were the 1st team to play at St Andrews in 1906 & the ball is still to this day, kept in a glass container at the ground1 point

Depends what you call successful. They've at best been a mid-table PL team and won no silverware. In the meantime they've gone through 12 managers in 9 seasons, sacking some when they've been in decent positions. They had 4 different managers / head coaches one season and 3 last season. How is a team supposed to achieve any kind of stability or identity when you change managers that often? Then you look at clubs who stick with their managers - even when relegated - and that continuity allows them to bounce back. Just look at Norwich. I certainly wouldn't say the Pozzos have1 point

Wait and see Marvin, if cancelled then wait for an appropriate time before putting the SW thread up. No way are we stopping a run1 point

I've got a really good feeling about Browne, think there's a lot more to come from him. He seems like a fun and popular guy in the dressing room. Our squad is absolutely paper thin so he'll definitely get some chances to impress, I have no idea what position Neil will stick him in though. He looked quality on his loan spell last year, Oxford fans wanted him to stay.1 point

It’s a fair point. We’re not gonna get relegated, so we don’t need to spend to survive, but if we’re in a decent position this time next month, SG might just make a few quid available for a promotion push. Nothing too exciting, but enough to get a few bodies in that will help the squad and not break the bank. I think SG sometimes likes to see how we’re doing before splashing a bit o cash in January. It’s not the ‘not having funds available’ I’m worried about. It’s the clubs ability to identify the right players and then get the deals over the line I’m worried about. I really don’t think Warnoc1 point

The only sensible thing to do is cancel Boxing Day until we can play a match 🤔1 point

Our recent history is littered with players with great abilkity and limted benefit to the team. Committment to the cause is just as important.1 point

Some player that Marvin. Doing the business on the pitch AND posting match-winning threads too!1 point

You can do whatever you want to do @marvin. You are the reason we are doing so well. It’s all down to your match day threads. Keep up the good work. Oh, and good cross for Saville's goal yesterday 👍1 point

Thanks. I’ve been a stalker for years, just never posted. Think I joined around the time the Croatians were coming 😁1 point

So, Yannick Bolasie just said on soccer am that he initiated the move to boro in the summer by calling Warnock and we still couldn’t get it done. Seemed really keen to link up with Warnock again. Would be a good signing and seems like a nice guy. Plus, he actually wanted to come here, which is always a good start. Get him in!1 point

Every manager makes some mistakes in the transfer market- this could easily be one of them. He brought Roberts back - not played him. He brought in Akpom- I don’t rate the gadge as a striker at all. Now we’re told he is more of a link up forward. Guess that’s the terminology for a failing striker......0 points

I said all along that Carrick would commit to the Boro, I dont think he's done enough for a bigish PL club to take a gamble on him, not knocking MC one bit, im happy he's staying, if it's true, great business by the club, saying that if he has signed you would have thought it would have been made public though
