After a great away win v Forest is it now time to have a visit by our old friends Daniel Ayala, Stewart Downing, Ainsley Pears and Tony Mowbray and the rest of Blackburn. Blackburns last outing was a 1-1 draw v Stoke. They had a game at Ewood Park postponed last Tuesday v Swansea, cause they didn't invest in a nice pitch rain coat like the Sheriff of Nottingham did, so the pitch was moister than an oister. Blackburns star striker this season is Adam Armstrong, so if we can man mark the living daylight out of him, then we should be able to beat this lot. The viking prediction is2 points

Poor thing. It’s almost like you’re that irritating noisy kid in class that no one really gives enough attention😜2 points

Any new contracts for either should be heavily incentivised by performance, give them the opportunity to earn good money but only with win / goal / assist bonuses.2 points

Anderlecht want rid of Mustapha Bundu already after buying him in the summer from the Danish team I follow. I would absolutely love to see him here. Loan with a possible buy has been mooted from Anderlecht journos. Bags of pace and also works defensively. Kind of like a cheap Traore. Can ghost past opponents with ease and had a good end product before being sold. I have no idea how it hasn't worked out for him at anderlecht but these last few seasons they've been a basketcase club without direction (from what I've read). Suited for both 4-3-3 and 4-2-3-1.2 points

He didn’t want us, why should we want him? Ah of course, he hasn’t a club.... Move on.2 points

The preparation for a specific match is probably a bit more important than we think. That is also what separates the good managers from the bad. The ability to drill into the team how to beat an upcoming opponent. We were woefully prepared under Woodgate and that has changed dramatically under a more proven manager. Granted he also gets outsmarted or gets his tactics all wrong, but I'm not going to deny that a lack of proper preparation with the team had an adverse effect on how we dealt with Birmingham. It was a woeful performance though so I'm going to split it 50/50 between inconsitency and2 points

I don't get Stoke tactics like they should of had that focal point alot sooner as had all the possession but no end product as Powell wasn't that physical focal point. Now fletcher and Vokes on can see complete difference1 point

Just to throw a really left field option out there. Our mates Steaua Bucharest have a player called Florin Tanase, he's 26 predominantly plays attacking midfield, but can and has played plenty of games up front and wide on the left. In 18/19 he had 18 goal involvements (goals and assists) in 34 league games. In 19/20 he had 13 goal involvements in 30 league games. So far in 20/21 he has 17 goal involvements in 14 games. They signed him 4 years ago for €1.5m, he is also their current captain, so I'm not 100% sure we'd be able to afford him, especially given our circumstances. They al1 point

They do say you can go a bit stale after a while. Maybe it’s time for new blood. Perhaps we need a fresh voice around the dressing room? Someone the forum can engage with and bring in new ideas. It seems obvious with your statement, that you’ve lost the confidence of the dressing room. It’s only a matter of time really before you end up on the Blackburn forum. Vive la revolution!! 😁😂😂1 point

Hope for a result from Stoke tonight preferably a draw or Stoke win so we can close gap with Watford ON Sundays1 point

I understand. I'm actually interested in a swap with that lad at Bristol or a few mill we could spend to prop up our wings....1 point

Fletcher and Britt do not surprise me as players on higher salaries during the season Gibson said he was going to smash the league and my opinion set himself up to be milked by Clubs and Agents alike knowing money was available. Personally, if the club things Britt is leaving I'd rather get some return on him now vs waiting till end of Season. As for Fletcher, I hope his time here over last two seasons have shown he has talent and to stay here. He has come on leaps and bounds.1 point

Hmm...I wonder why you chose him? 😁 But yeah, as I recall he did okay for us.1 point

Hope Crewe let him start some games! Seems to be well loved by the fans already; there was apparently a bit of a clamour by Crewe fans to get it done when his Dons loan got cancelled. Glad to see he's appreciated there and I hope it works out!1 point

Stephen Walker's joined Crewe on loan till the end of the season.1 point

Which is another major problem in the game that nobody seems to care about tackling. If they're not willing to listen to financial advisors, or take on board any advice they get from the club, I'd like to see a system put in place where they only get a percentage of their salary as disposable income, with the rest put in a trust fund or something, where any spending has to be cleared with someone qualified, before they can access that money. It just boggles the mind that TPTB are okay with young, relatively uneducated blokes being given that much money to splash around like confetti.1 point

Too old and too inconsistent. I doubt he'd be any better than Wing now. Would rather we looked elsewhere.1 point

1: Team and formation? If we want consistency in performances & results, it starts with consistency of teams. Never change a winning formula I say. Same as the Forest lineup, unless injuries / fatigue make changes necessary. 2: Is it good to change a winning team? See above answer. 3: Will Morsy get another yellow card for just being Morsy? Probably - cause refs are stupid. But Samwise doesn't help himself either. Is he one of those players who just isn't as effective if he doesn't "put himself about", as pundits like to say? 4: Can Britt follow up on an above par per1 point

we are inconsistent but we have Big J back in midfield. first game back and it was like he never went away motm by a mile. when some of the younger lads are struggling to pass 5 yards he gets the ball and slips his markers carries the ball miles, plays in key passes making it look easy. he surely has lifted squad coming back into the team. results will improve now. wouldnt be surprised to go on another winning run now. think we'll beat norwich to. they rode their luck last time out. we'll have them this time. blackburn have fell away we can win that one to.1 point
-
1. Team and formation? Same as the last game, with Watmore the first name on the teamsheet. 2: Is it good to change a winning team? I wouldn't say so, no. So much of football is about confidence, and a winning team develops trust in its component parts. Unless a player is suffering from a knock or fatigue, I'd never change a winning lineup. 3: Will Morsy get another yellow card for just being Morsy? Nailed on. 4: Can Britt follow up on an above par performance? While the transfer window is still open, yes. Expect a return to ballooning shots over the bar fr1 point

Also don't forget that many of them are kids (or big kids) and don't mature in the real world like the rest of us. They maybe dont save because they dont see the need to.1 point

I strongly suspect that my current 'Sexy' thread on COB may be a little too risqué for OB. I think new guidelines would need to be written into any contract offered for my services. I am confident a deal could be made though, although I hold all the aces due to being on a free.1 point

I'm a lurker and in the last six months of my contract on COB. Maybe I could come across on a Bosman if 'Sexy' threads are allowed on OB.1 point

I said all along that Carrick would commit to the Boro, I dont think he's done enough for a bigish PL club to take a gamble on him, not knocking MC one bit, im happy he's staying, if it's true, great business by the club, saying that if he has signed you would have thought it would have been made public though
