  1. We done the business on the cheats today, may they go into freefall. šŸ¤£

  2. I think there will be a huge turnover in the summer: End of Loan: Bettinelli, Kebano, Bolasie End of Contract: Archer, Johnson, NML, Assombalonga, Fletcher. Players I think weā€™ll move on: Spence, Coulson, Wing, Browne, Akpom. I think Iā€™d be happy with maybe 8 in to replace those. 1 x GK - If we assume Bettinelli returns to Fulham and Archers deal isnā€™t renewed Iā€™m happy for Sol Brynn to be back up to a new established, solid 1st choice keeper. Although you could argue itā€™s not ideal for Brynns development it would keep him in and around the first team s

  3. Exactly, where did the board expect them to finish?

  4. That seems harsh. They offloaded a fair few first team players in January. That makes it very difficult to be competitive

  5. I dont know how Newcastle aren't in the bottom three yet. They've been awful. Hope Fulham get themselves safe. Both because we might be able to keep Kebano and it would be fun having derbys against the Geordies and the Mackems next year.

  6. Well Southampton showed us the way against Bournemouth, play the ball on the ground all the time, press high and run at them with pace and they collapse/don't know what to do about it. I would start Kebano, Bolasie, Watmore and Fletcher as the attacking line something like this ... Watmore....Kebano........Bolasie .....................Fletcher.................... Run at them and close them down to the max dont let them play out from the back.

  7. Thatā€™s ok. Just another 2-3 dozen and youā€™ll have them squared (so in about 1-2 weeksšŸ˜‰)

  8. This might be the first hearsay rumour of this summers thread. I was at the petrol station this morning (where all good rumours start) and seen an old friend I went to school with. Had a good discussion about Boro with him and he claimed we are looking at Rotherhams Michael Smith if Ashley Fletcher leaves. He mates with a lad who works in our communications department and said he told him. Probably BS but thought would share anyway. I just googled Smith as i have never heard of him and he 6ft 3 and is having a good season considering he playing for 3rd bottom Rotherham. 9 go

  9. According to Warnock Britt was available - just not selected. Think we can take that as a sign he's on his way out. Agree some of the comments about Spence have been rather OTT. Certainly with regard to our overall performance yesterday, you can't single out one player as a scapegoat. We were poor all over the park. In any case Bettinelli should have saved Hall's soft tap-in...bloody useless that keeper! šŸ™ƒšŸ¤Ŗ

  12. Thatā€™s hell of a score by @AnglianRed to get 5 from todayā€™s results

  13. I agree with pretty much everything you put on there. Including this bit on Hall, the man who actually scores the own goal. I've watched it a couple of times and my overriding feeling is that he could have done better. When you watch defenders score own goals in that position, it's often because they're stretching to beat an attacker to a ball coming across them. This wasn't the case with this one and as far as I can tell, there was no deflection on the cross which could have made it more difficult for him. He just didn't seem to get his feet right even though he had a bit of time to

  14. Having seen the video for the goal and some of the comments I was expecting Spence to be messing about in his own area. It was poor by him and disappointing he just stopped tracking back but I probably wouldn't put him solely to blame for the goal given there was a good 60 odd yards between where he gave away the ball. We still had cover at the back and to be honest I think their winger has done well getting past Howson and then played a decent ball into the box. Was Britt injured today or is it just a case he is 'finished' with us? I can't really comment on the game as didn't list

  15. Update I took over the updating of results/tables a few rounds ago and started doing it manually. I didn't see the point in creating an automatic spreadsheet as I only ever intended doing a round or two to catch up. When I did a few rounds I decided to try and make the table populate itself with some simple code. This seems to be working well now but I could never work out why Trekkers was 2 games behind some people. When tracing back fixtures....I did not update the table for Trekkers 4 Cyprusboro 0 for Trekkers. I have therefore updated the table with this result. Apolog

  16. Iā€™m on a serious wobble at the moment but Iā€™ve got a plan. I need some warm weather training before the next games. Iā€™m going to get the wife to spin me around in the tumble dryer before I make my selections. Itā€™s the only solution as travel is banned and it might de-wobble my head šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£

  17. Ndombele booted in the shin by a Dinamo Zagreb player tonight, not even close to touching the ball, VAR didn't even deem it worthy of a check. It doesn't improve anything, it just makes the mistakes even more frustrating as they're making them even after additional viewings.

  18. I definitely agree with this. I don't agree with the idea that it 'evens itself out' over the course of the season or that you can't end up feeling like you're playing against 12 men during a game, though, which are views that are sometimes held alongside these ones. Both teams can end up feeling like that in the same game if the referee is bad enough. I do mostly agree with this but there is undoubtedly a grey area that referees as a whole don't help themselves with when you get some of them coming out with crap like "If you don't go down, I can't give you anything". In my opinion, th

  19. I hope Brentford and Watford can prevent Swansea promotion. As I totally don't like the tactics Swansea deploy they litteraly injured Dijksteel for rest of the season due to the fact he beat their player manning like 3 times in opening 10 mins so he decided to chop him down when the ref wasn't watching.

Hackney hasn't been in the squad the last two games after making a fleeting appearance on the bench a couple of weeks ago. He's not ready to start a game. I think it'll be mcnair in for ayling like you say but I reckon vdb starts at right back like early on in the season. The rest will be unchanged but with greenwood in for silvera.Ā

If Dijksteel does not start this, then the writing really is on the wall for him, if its jot already anyway. I actually don't think he will start. I think Paddy will come in and we will change to a wing back system with Jones and EngelĀ - which will say a lot about what MC thinks of Dijksteel in not trustingĀ him at RB or as a 3rd CB (he played his best football there for us) Also would not be surprised to see Hackney replace Greenwood and plsy in an advanced role but rather Silveria or GilbertĀ there: Dieng Paddy VDB Clarke Jones Howson O'Brien Engel Silveria LL AzazĀ
