If there is one thing I won't miss about seeing this match in person, it's that I won't have to travel half the night to get there. That’s right ladies, gents and mascots, Boro are back in action after that woeful international break and it's just a little trip down the moterway to Bournemouth!
Boro’s form going into the international break has been pretty indicative so far of the season at large, like being stuck on the Ultimate at Lightwater Valley and just wanting to get off so you can spend the cash in the gift shop. Let's hope Boro aren't left with the sad looking one eye teddy
I remember the motorbikes at Lightwater Valley, they were the best bit about it, although you had to pay extra on top of the admission fee (if I remember correctly the track was situated next to the car park so you could just go for the bikes). As @edinboromentioned, absolutely no health and safety, you just paid your money and jumped on a 50cc motorbike along with a load of other kids on a track made out of hay bales, what could possibly go wrong?
I you ok hunni? 😉
No, I agree it was very pedestrian far too easy to defend against a better team will comfortable shut England out and just wait for Stones to F*** up
I don't know if it was Lightwater Valley but I definitely had some fun on mini bikes as a kid. Similar set-up with hay bales marking out the track. Fell off quite a few times and ended up face first in the hay...didn't dampen my enthusiasm at all.
Can't even remember if we were made to wear helmets.
Oh for a return to the days when a large part of being a kid was doing things you probably shouldn't and getting hurt in the process.
A far from convincing performance against Poland. Again pretty pedestrian for much of the game. Lots of possession and lots of passing around, without really threatening to score.
Had to rely on Sterling winning a penalty to take the lead. About the only useful contribution he made.
Like most of us I'm sure, I saw Poland's equaliser coming the moment Stones dithered on the ball. At least he managed partial redemption with the flick on from the corner to set up Maguire's winner.
As expected, while looking fairly comfortable in possession, England struggled to create anything in a
If Rocket is still a no-show come tomorrow, it could be you launching Boro on that memorable winning run. 😉 Keep your bat handy and your pads strapped on.

The press conference, Warnock repeatedly mentioned that a number of players had picked up knocks and that he now feels like he'll have to play Saville and McNair even with them only playing yesterday
I’d be happy with that, it’s hard to find a good proven and affordable cm and we’ve got one on a plate with O’Brien with the added try before you buy benefit. Ayling I think is a no brainer if he’s cheap enough.
Yeah just listened to the presser thats on website @Teacider and not sure if MC let slip but he said “there are important players here we want to keep for the long term”.
Not sure if that was a general comment or one aimed at loan players. Think we will try keep Ayling and O'Brien and let go of Greenwood and Thomas.
No matchday thread so I'll shot it here.
Sounds like we are interested in signing Ayling permanently.
There are contract discussions underway with a number of players.
McNair is back in training, apparently Lenihan isn't close.
