My son (16 yes old) got his first proper girlfriend. I asked how it’s going and he replied “She complained about me playing football each Saturday morning then watching Boro in the afternoon and something had to give” What ya going to do I said I’ll miss her a little bit I suppose was his answer 😂😂😂5 points

There is no doubt in my mind that if Stoj had been in goal instead of Bettinelli this season, we'd be in the playoff spots. And this is coming from someone who was really quite harsh on him before he went.4 points

Warnock is a manger/coach who won't admit that he's got it wrong bringing Bettinelli in, we al know the keepers wrong for us and nobodies convincing me the coaching staff don't know that either, stubborn pig headedness that's cost us points and goals, its simply poor management.3 points

You're not the only one. I've said since the beginning that Dejan has been shafted by the fact that he doesn't speak fluent English. Having watched Bettinelli for the year I'm fairly confident Dejan would have been a huge upgrade.2 points

Am I the only one who is concerned that Stojanovic is only being let down by the fact that he isn't English? Warnock has gone on about wanting to "buy English" and "players who know the league" (because obviously, who wants to sign someone like Pukki or Buendia?). Very worrying, because there's no chance in hell anyone looked at Stojanovic, Bettinelli, and Archer and said Stojanovic was the one who needed to go based on performance and talent.2 points

If anyone wants to read how Dejan has been getting on during his loan spell read this. I'd like to think he gets a chance to impress Warnock again.2 points

I have to admit, based on his acquisitions to date, I wouldn't be giving him a large transfer kitty to play with, even if I could afford it. Plus there's the whole, "surely he's gonna retire soon" angle. In fairness to Warnock, there can't be many chairmen who would let him splash the cash, based purely on his age. Also, Boro have never been the most attractive club for higher quality players and we usually have to pay over the odds in fee and wages to get them. The list of players we can afford and who actually want to sign for us is usually fairly short. But as folks on here have b1 point

Anyone else think it's shocking that NW doesn't know the names of the top lads in the u23s? And it's only now 2 or 3 will get a chance to train with the first team.1 point

I'd take him back in a hearbeat, but i highly doubt he wants to come back up to Boro1 point

Hope it is Friday. Benefits me, means it doesn't clash with my girlfriend's birthday and I can look like less of a ***.1 point

Next Saturday's games could be played on Friday night to avoid clashing with HRH The Duke of Edinburgh's funeral1 point

Nice assassination piece by the Gazette there (with Gibbo's blessing, no doubt.) Still expect Bettinelli to start against QPR though, as Warnock will never, ever admit he's got it wrong.1 point

NW has brought in a considerable amount of players and had a rather soft run in to the end of the season. NW continually talks a fight but didn’t actually turn up for one. NW talks a great deal after about what should have happened but is ill prepared for the next battle. NW brings in a shot stopper who would make a bad juggler but allows a very decent keeper to go out on loan. Simple question. If NW asked you for a large amount of money would you lend him it?1 point

Definitely would welcome him back with open arms1 point

If this highlights reel is anything to go by, you're not far wrong... He was also pretty handy for St Gallen as well a few seasons back... His timing, positioning and general reading of the game are light years ahead of Bettinelli's. Then factor in his shot stopping and distribution... True he does have a tendency to parry a lot of shots, which can still get defences in trouble. But I'd still take him in a heartbeat over MB. What on Earth was Warnock smoking when he decided to ditch this guy for Bettinelli?1 point

Nope - quite a few of us (me included) have been wondering about our recruitment policy for a while. Both in terms of players AND coaches. I've been asking for quite a while just what the hell the coaching staff actually do with our squad in training, because god knows they never seem to show any improvement. They only seem to get worse, if anything.1 point

Just be grateful a few seasons ago Barragan had done more foul throws than our top scorer had scored goals. The current situation is an improvement 😉1 point

Boo boys, probably the most childish comment ever coined by man to depict a person that does not align to ones own opinions despite historical and analytic data proving otherwise. Much like other titles designed to discredit a reputation of those that challenges or debates a sensitive subjects .1 point

It may have been more apt if it read "Owing to the funeral of Football on Teesside next Saturday's game at home to QPR will not take place at all"1 point

I believe Dom Shaw reads this forum or possibly even posts on here? Just read your match related stuff mate. We played more long balls than Barnsley did today. We tend to play more than most of the teams we play against, even other direct sides like Barnsley. Howson, who you gave a 6 to with the comment that he spent most of the game looking up at the ball floating over midfield, played more long balls than any outfield player on either team. The only two players who played more were the goalkeepers. If we can't rely on journalists to provide some accuracy then you are really nothing mor1 point

I've only paid for two games this season and both were absolutely dreadful games for us, so I'm sticking to the radio today!1 point

I said all along that Carrick would commit to the Boro, I dont think he's done enough for a bigish PL club to take a gamble on him, not knocking MC one bit, im happy he's staying, if it's true, great business by the club, saying that if he has signed you would have thought it would have been made public though
