MFC v QPR, Friday 17th April 2021 Kick Off: 12.30 Location: The Cellnet Riverside Stadium "Tenth versus Eleventh... Will we see a major swapping of places in the league?" This Saturday, an early kick off showcases a dramatic limp towards the end of the season for two teams that may have harboured promotion hopes at the start of the season. The kick off time was rescheduled following the sudden death of Prince Phillip the Duke of Edinburgh, so as not to clash with his funeral. There really isn't a great deal to play for, for either side in this one. We could swap places4 points

I think the end of pulis's reign was worse for apathy. As much as I dislike warnock, pulis was on a whole other level of negativity.4 points

Coburn not involved at all with the u23s today so looks likely he'll be back on the bench. Hope he gets a little run out.4 points

How I would love Derby to get relegated. Shame I think Rotherham got too much to do in such a short space of time On a side note. What an awful signing Ayala has proven to be for Blackburn. He has barely played for them and they somehow offered him a 3yr deal despite his bad injury record here.3 points

Since January, we've been more mid-table than relegation form. Whether you take that as being from the start or end of January, we're either in 12th or 15th, 5-8 points from the relegation zones , 9-10 points from the play-offs. We've definitely got worse since that time but it's not nearly as significant as relegation form, relative to the rest of the teams in the division.2 points

We would be mate. If we're within 3 points of the relegation zone were in a relegation battle. In 10 or 15 more games we might not be. But at that point we are.1 point

And that completely ignores the existence of the other 6 teams between us and them. If any of the other 6 teams lose, they'd still be below us. You're talking about a relegation battle beginning after 18 or so games essentially including the entire bottom half of the league and deciding we're in the thick of it.1 point

We'd be one loss for us and one win for the 22nd placed team away from being on the same points as them. That's a relegation battle.1 point

But there'd still be at least 6 teams between us and relegation even if you take it from the end of January and really not a hugely significant difference between the gap to 6th vs. the gap to 21st. It's midtable form.1 point

We've had 17 points from 14 games since January. 3rd bottom is exactly on 1 point per game. So we're really not far off.1 point

Agree with this and considering the above, we still had something to play for under Pulis. Mad that this doesn't feel anywhere near as bad as that time.1 point

First year since Karanka's first season, if I'm recalling it correctly, quite a significant sum of time yeah. Since then we've battled for automatics or play-offs most seasons and twice trying to avoid relegation, once in this division and once in the PL.1 point

The absence of posts really says it all, doesn't it? I know we've been in worse form in the past, but I can't remember such apathy and indifference surrounding the Boro before. Even if everyone knows kick off has been brought forward tomorrow, I doubt many people will be paying much attention. I know I won't. I'd rather spend time with my family than spend half the afternoon listening to Boro going through the motions. Badly.1 point

I don't think either of them is in any way better than our level either. They're good for a top half championship side but they wouldn't see a minute in the premier league. Maybe in a few years Time, but for now definitely not1 point

We did find stuani, Kike, Friend and Ayala and Nsue for relative cheap. Also bola and Dijksteel now1 point

Hackney hasn't been in the squad the last two games after making a fleeting appearance on the bench a couple of weeks ago. He's not ready to start a game. I think it'll be mcnair in for ayling like you say but I reckon vdb starts at right back like early on in the season. The rest will be unchanged but with greenwood in for silvera. -

If Dijksteel does not start this, then the writing really is on the wall for him, if its jot already anyway. I actually don't think he will start. I think Paddy will come in and we will change to a wing back system with Jones and Engel - which will say a lot about what MC thinks of Dijksteel in not trusting him at RB or as a 3rd CB (he played his best football there for us) Also would not be surprised to see Hackney replace Greenwood and plsy in an advanced role but rather Silveria or Gilbert there: Dieng Paddy VDB Clarke Jones Howson O'Brien Engel Silveria LL AzazÂ
