Just read Craig John's updated article on potential signings. I reckon the Gazette know that Boro are close to 2 or 3 signings in the next day or so. Healey is out of price range as Toulouse want £4-6million and obviously we don't think he's worth that but I wouldn't necessarily say he's a back up as we have held talks with him and his representatives, but this new target ticks a lot more boxes and is tested whereas Healey isn't. Delap is obviously the 3rd striker on loan but West brom seem to be chasing that one quite intensely.

I've looked at Payero on Instat and I'm really impressed by him. He looks ideal for the right-sided CM (#8) role of a 4-3-3. I've got absolutely no doubt about him adjusting to the Championship as he's physical, strong, aggressive, energetic, brave and comfortable in tough tackles, which will add a good amount of bite to us in midfield. It's literally been the Gazettes top story that he's been in Boro since last night.

We're obviously looking at players, we already know that. Boro leaking the information to the Gazette is because we've missed out on Muniz otherwise there would be no article, and no leak, but it doesn't mean that there isn't a player at the end of it. I think it's even better. I think this is all because of Flamengo and/or Muniz's agents leaking to the press which is why it all came out in the Brazilian press as to what our offer was. They did that in order to pit us against Fulham and create the battle which probably caused us to go what looks like it was a bit out of our comfort zone with our offer in order to get the upper hand. Nothing can be certain in these types of situations as club could be chasing multiple targets so I could be in the dark but I believe Healey and the other striker's name I was passed on are top targets because we have have had multiple talks with since end of June so I'd say it's definately the other striker that we are now advanced with.

Sorry man I'm intrigued myself and haven't been give any other names other than Healey, the other striker and Hoillet regarding transfers unfortunately. I'd love us to follow on the unknown by signing a overseas winger. Young, raw with potential value to increase though wouldn't you? I know we had a few scouts watching the Scandinavian league and drew up a list but not had any names.

So if I am summarizing correctly we have a possible DoF without a name , a new manager coming in by the end of the season in preparation for next season, again without a name and a pricey striker without a name. Very frustrating if you ask me, but nice to know we're planning and not reacting to whatever happens.

Finally watched his highlights video on YouTube m looks a tough lad with a hell off right foot. He won't get bullied that's for sure. Would be awesome if he played at Blackpool. Might be a good introduction for him.
