Why are people even wanting Hall dropped? He’s been perfectly fine for us nearly every game he’s played. He gave away one free kick the other day but Jesus, what defender doesn’t? Him and Fry are fine, and so are Dijksteel and Bola. We just need to stop doing this man marking *** as it just confuses our players and leaves huge gaps along the defensive line. Also I don’t think McNair should be in the starting 11 that being in midfield or defence, however, he’s the type of player we need on the bench if we want to make the playoffs. Just because he isn’t making the first 11 doesn’t mean we sh7 points

When Tavernier and Watmore come back then it will be interesting to see how Warnock re-jigs our midfield as both ordinarily walk in to the first team. It's going to be impossible to justify dropping Jones. The most logical way of keeping all three in is to keep Jones at LW, Watmore at RW and Tavernier at CM alongside Crooks. Morsy in for Howson at DM. Tavernier in CM with Morsy behind him would help us get a far better control of the ball in midfield than we had against QPR. We just can't be caught on the transition so easily in the middle third.7 points

Agreement reached with Heerenveen, just personal terms with Van Bergen to agree on. Deal could reach 2 mil euros if clauses are met.6 points

https://lc.nl/sport/Mitchell-van-Bergen-vindt-Middlesbrough-een-interessante-club-maar-zit-nog-in-de-wachtkamer-26999295.html Van bergen speaks: Middlesbrough is an interesting club. It is clear that something is going on," Van Bergen answered when asked about the interest of the English. “But a few things are still unclear to me. I have to wait. For the time being I am still a player of Heerenveen. And as long as I am, I will do my best for this club.” Sounds very close6 points

Boro's trainer confirms Šporar. Despite what was reported this morning by Record, Neil Warnock (Boro coach) confirmed that Šporar has already signed for the club after having passed medical examinations and that he would still not be called up for the next match. @Mercado1906 on twitter6 points

The standard of refereeing in the Championship is abysmal. I've lost track of the amount of games that have been ruined by bad decisions. But on this specific game... I actually give the ref credit for giving that penalty to us. Players get away with crap like that every week in this league. I also thought he fairly dished out yellows to QPR players for niggling fouls, and the fourth official had the balls to give an appropriate amount of stoppage time for persistent time wasting. Having said that, we should have had another pen and Austin should have got a straight red. Both off the5 points

He fits in at CB in place of Hall who isn't good enough if we want to be chasing the top 6.5 points

I’d go Lumley Dijksteel Hall Fry Bola Morsey Tavernier. Crooks Watmore. Ikpeazu. Jones5 points

It's because they don't have a permanent downer on the team solely because they don't like the manager.4 points

It was definitely down to the defence being broken up that we fell away, yeah, we started to concede for fun with daft goals. But we also scored more goals in the first half of the season before we signed Kebano or Bolasie. We scored 28 goals in the first 23 games. We scored 27 in the second 23 games. Bolasie and Kebano were only here for the final 20 games, so it was actually 30 in 26 before them and 25 in 20 with them. Very similar goal returns, which would make it seem like not having them isn't that huge a blow. Especially considering Bolasie played almost eve3 points

I don't constantly expect the worst though, I think we'll be fairly comfortable 8th-12th this season again and we'll see some good performances and some bad ones! Just don't expect us to make it to the play offs with the squad and manager we currently have, that's hardly expecting the worst. I've said numerous times that I'm looking forward to seeing how our players develop this season and how we shake things up next summer and that I'm feeling a lot more positive about boros future than any time since monk, yet the second I say something I deem realism I get jumped on every time. Uche has been immense but if he can’t play more than 60 minutes I’d be starting Sporar and bringing Uche off the bench, a fresh Ikpeazu against tiring defenders he’ll batter them from pillar to post3 points

I do think Had we kept Karanka we would be in a better position now than we are, that monk/pulis disaster would never have happened. On the other hand though he had to go, I sit behind the bench and the further we got through that season the more and more players/staff were sat next to me having been banished from the bench. I knew he’d lost it when friend and the physio ended up sat there lol.3 points

With Morsy? I think he's the only one who is disciplined enough to sit while Crooks pushes forward. I would say Howson could as well, but I think suggesting he ever starts a football match again is a banable offence on here now.3 points

Gazette said it was a left-back. Don't know but Tooting & Mitcham have produced some good little players in the past. Best known will be Antonio at West Ham. Wished we'd got him when he was back in the Championship.3 points

It's a total "hold the ship together" season. We will finish between 15th-8th in the table, knick a few decent results, beat a few struggling teams, but we are a complete class below the top quality teams in the league. The only reason I'm fine with it is that it's pretty nailed on Warnock won't be here next year. Just got to grit your teeth and get through it. Pray nightly for the gegenpressing madman German coach to come in summer.3 points

I think this is the route of a lot of our issues. Our players either don’t understand how to play it or are playing a really poor version of it. watching them and it’s clear they have no idea about passing on players or they are under super strict instructions to follow everywhere. it leaves gaps all across the field this alone is bad but when you add to this that we don’t give a good shield from midfield it’s a receipt for disaster. We end up allowing the opposition to open us by with basic movement or by simply bypassing the midfield. we really need one of the midfielders2 points

He made some terrible mistakes last season when defending! This might not be a popular but i think its time to move McNair on! He was part of a very poor Sundeerland when they were relegated, hes not a very good defender and hes not a good midfielder........Whilst this might no be something that I expect everyone to agree with, I say take what we can for him while he still holds some value.2 points

I think to be fair, what Uwe is talking about there is the fragile nature of individual circumstances in football and how important any particular one of those decisions can be. He's not said their decisions are the full cause of them losing their job, just that one bad decision from a ref can be the nail in the coffin, at least I think that's what he's saying. And in the Championship, we're not often talking about one bad decision either, sometimes it's a game of Team 1 vs Team 2 vs Referee and yet this fella on TalkSport who's having a go at Warnock isn't acknowledging that at all, he's2 points

Championship is in danger of becoming as boring as the Premier League. Would anyone honestly be surprised if Norwich finish 20th then win the Championship in 22/23? Then Fulham or WBA will be back to win it the year after.2 points

If people are going to argue the correct way to react to a victory/defeat could you please use the phrases “Rose tinted, delusional or bed wetters “ like the footballing gods intended 😊2 points

I don't think any of the wingers we have signed/are signing are better than either kebano or bolasie (happy to be proved wrong by the dutch lad). We've basically replaced those two very good championship wingers with unknown quantities so I'm not sure why people are getting carried away (again).2 points

I think Van Bergen could be a good acquisition. He is definitely quick and as @Smogzilla pointed out above he does appear comfortable using either foot. The pace of him and Jones either side of Ikpeazu or Sporar could cause havoc for the opposition defenders2 points

I think this window shows how big an impact Britt and Fletcher were having on our FFP calcs when you take the amortisation of their signings and wages into account. Warnock may have had his hands tied last summer.2 points

Absolutely, all three goals shouldn't have happened on Wednesday. Got our CDM losing the ball 4-5 times a game which he shouldn't be doing. Lumley was very poor for two of the goals and the defence were abysmal second half. Should never be conceding three goals in a half of football and two goals to ten men.2 points

He’s got one hell of an engine on him….so I don’t think he’s beyond playing as an 8. You could well be right but that’s why I’m intrigued. I think he has the attributes to play both roles. Personally speaking I was quite unsure about whether he would hack it playing as far forward as he has. He’s proved me wrong so far. As Tom said I’d want him playing with Morsey so he could have a bit of freedom to push on, carry the ball or join the attack.2 points

I think he’ll play there too as he’s not a Warnock #9. Also the Boro PR statement references the fact he’s played as a winger previously. Maybe he’s been signed in reaction to Ameobi’s injury. It’s a bit of a long shot but good luck to the lad. I’m sure he’s absolutely buzzing to sign for us and will give it everything.2 points

I still maintain the only reason Brexit won was because a lot of people genuinely didn't know what they were voting for, either through sheer ignorance, or by being outright lied to by the likes of Farage and Boris. And the Remain party largely failed to adequately explain why we should, well, remain. I got all my info from reputable websites and the broadsheets, which were able to explain the situation better than any politician attempted to.2 points

Well there are people that think its fun to beat up opposition fans, just trying to make their way home with their kids, so frankly nothing surprises me anymore. Some people are racists...others are just ***... Actually, given how stupid some people can be (e.g. anti vaxxers and other assorted conspiracy theory nutjobs) I can quite believe some of the people booing genuinely think taking the knee is a symbol of some kind of Marxist / New World Order revolution. Remember these kind of people aren't interested in facts, only garbage that supports their own warped world view. 🤷♂️2 points

That just highlights why there is a problem. Having to publish that to explain the action and its intended meaning was closing the door after the Horse had well and truly already bolted. Initially the BLM was a part of it and now subsequently being quietly distanced from it. Battle lines and opinions however had already been drawn and people were not suddenly going to change their mind and issuing the statement probably just inflamed mindsets rather than the intended effect. The campaign was launched for a genuine reason but it wasn't thought through and consequently we are where we2 points

This bull**** lazy statement is one of the causes of the division. They’re many reasons people will boo. (Not good reasons that I can think of) but certainly not just down to racism.2 points

There is definitely a tactics war in the club. Wing and Payero are the main victims. Also on age as well. QPR are everything Warnock hates. Their football was brilliant and we were like statutes. Our academy lads play the same way and Warnock has told them it isn't on after matches they have played Either part way through this season or next I think we will see a complete change in style and type of player. The transfers now are an example I think. There are those being brought in my the recruitment team and those 'do not care about stats' ones that Warnock wants.2 points

No expectations or hope, going to watch it feeling like a neutral somewhat. A good game of football will suffice. Even with a positive run of results, it's too little too late.

I think that says a great deal of how fans are feeling now It's completely flat being a boro fan for many reasons this season and we have retreated so much from last seasons high I for one can't wait for the season to be over! Few more wins and I am looking forward to see the likes of luke Woolston getting a few chances by the end of the season. I'm sure this MDT will pick up at the end of today's result 🤣 -
