  1. Djikesteel has a LOT of potential. He’s showed at times just how high his ceiling is; he’s young and any transfer fee would reflect both those factors. I’d want a sell on fee as well.

  4. Another example of a name completely out of the blue, not mentioned by any ITK but news broken on European social media accounts. I think the club have more than tightened the leaks. That’s not the issue with deals falling through.

  7. To be honest it's never English media who break the news. The boro have stopped alot of information on our deals being made public. It's only been the selling clubs and foreign media that have reported our dealings. Flamengo for muniz they got a bidding war with Fulham. Then Van Bergen agent wanted to see if he could get a bigger contract once we agreed a deal. This information leaks can't be stopped at boros end.

  9. Sporar is awaiting permission to travel to England and initial the Middlesbrough loan agreement. The deal is closed and pleases all parties, and the impasse is now not financial but fiscal, since, according to what O JOGO found, the English will only pay half of the player's salary, who earns €2 million in the lions. The player's difficulty is the work permit for England, this by the tax regime of a non-Portuguese who will remain connected to the Leo club, but playing in the Championship. The fact that Sporar does not have a Portuguese passport is, according to "TeessideLive", delayin

  10. Graeme Bailey is a Middlesbrough born journalist that regurgitates 10th hand information and passes it off like he knew all along. If you call him out on Twitter he immediately blocks you. He’s just started a podcast with Craig Honeyman (Boro born agent and fellow tosser), it’s horrific.

  13. So that should be terms agreed with club today and the medical and personal terms tomorrow. It should be announced before the match on Saturday. and it would be by any other club apart from us.

  14. We’re gonna end up with absolute cannon fodder, happens every year. What on earth has happened with this ‘shock striker?!’ You can’t tell me it was Sporar because no one has heard of him before.

  16. I mentioned on twitter, in reference to the Van Bergen collapse, how one of things I’d like to see Scott implement when he comes in is the stopping of leaked transfer information. I know I need to say three Hail Marys in reference to this thread, but I just don’t think it does our dealings any favours whatsoever. Personally speaking I could easily do without 1092 (and counting) pages of transfer news if it meant we had a better chance of securing our targets.

  17. Yes 100%. Since his turn in form he’s been one of if not the most consistent player in the team?

  18. Good old Nixon, covering every possibility of a transfer in a tweet. Does it all the time 😂 Then when one of the inevitable outcomes happens he puts ‘aye’ as if he knew all along.

  20. The same lazy links come out every summer. 2020: Brighton, Burnley, Watford and Crystal Palace weigh up move for Tavernier 2019: Watford target Tavernier Just got to wait for "Burnley interested in Dael Fry" article.

  22. With this being out last fixture being the last before the first international break and the start of the next chants of its coming home. Boro Blackburn along with Man City Arsenal and Celtic Rangers has all the neutrals being treated to a wonderful weekend of football. All eyes and thankfully Dael Fry's as well (after last seasons incident) will be on this game. Its not been the strongest start to the season with a loss to the 10 men of QPR and drawing to Derby who are in a mess right now. If promotion is the aim this season that is a massive 5 points dropped so early on.

  24. Once upon a time there was information that broke on here first before anyone knew or would dare print it but of late "loose lips sink ships" seems to be the mantra from the Club with things now being kept very tight and secure. There was even the suspicion of a few false stories being deliberately leaked to see where the leaks were coming from prior to this blackout mentality. There isn't anything on here this summer that hasn't been raised on Twitter, Newsnow etc. beforehand, at best it's probably intelligent guesstimates.

  25. another clever deal? offer to pay a bit extra if we're promoted

  26. For those doubting the ITK guys in here, it’s obvious the club has tightened up massively on leaks in the last year or so. I’ve seen the likes of Digger, Lurker, Raf and SDS (throwback) get many right in my time on here, hopefully after Warnock we start getting a bit more. But at the same time if that would mean harming deals I’m fine with most of it staying under wraps

  28. Tbf who's got a good recent ITK record? Not slandering anyone, but who was the last person to call something before it was Tweeted somewhere? Or on the flipside, who says something before it comes out somewhere else?

  37. I don't think that's quite how this works. I don't think agents actively hold off stories that include minor links to their players, there's very few occasions I can think of where speculation doesn't positively affect their position so I don't see why the journalists would be sat waiting for an agent go-ahead. If anything, agents involvement with journalists is about giving them the story, not approving stories already written, especially ones as minor as this.

  38. The Gazette have also said Šporar would be heading away on international duty and wouldn’t be in England until after the break so let’s hope they’ve got that wrong as well.

  43. I don't often post the same thread on different boards, but this was a once in a lifetime special moment in time, so apologies if I have done this but I wanted to share it with Boro fans everywhere, its one thing that unites us all, the Boro & days like these A fantastic day for us fans who were fortunate to be old enough to have gone to the game, great memories of a special day & a special era, unsean from a Boro eyes, new stadium, world class signings, big, big signings we had the lot, for a while we were in dreamland 26th August 1995, 26 years ago today, the mighty Boro pl

  44. MvB's agent wouldn't be doing his job if he wasn't shopping him around knowing he wanted to leave. As soon as we agreed on a price there was always the chance that other interested clubs would come in a match it. The question is whether he thinks the Championship is better chance of making a big step in 2-3 years as opposed to a small club in Ligue1. Personally I think he has a better chance of getting a big money move inside a few years if he impresses in the championship. I very much doubt Reims are going to offer him more money than we are. Could be big pull that it's only 100 miles from Pa

I watched his highlights, looks a lot like O’Brien in the way he plays, his passing doesn’t look anything worse than any of our midfielders, but he also doesn’t stand out as an exceptional passer. He’s more of a ‘busy’ player and pops up in different areas of the pitch. I think he’s a player Carrick would play tbf, though he’s definately more of a #8 and looks like he’d get knocked off the ball a lot.

It's tough to find loads of stats for the Danish Superliga to be fair. But the point I was responding to wasn't whether he'd improve us, it was whether Carrick would play him, and it seems like he's plenty capable enough on the ball to fit the bill. I have no idea if he'd improve us. His numbers that I can find look pretty good, and he's broken into the first team at the age of 20 in Denmark, so there's clearly something about him at least. But his passing numbers are good, which was the relevant bit.

Aren’t Villa still due a points deduction if they come back down.

It's the top tier. They're just playing in the relegation scrap. The division gets cut in half with a third of the season left like in Belgium. The Danish league actually get's a lot of praise for being relatively high paced, tactically good and technically much better that the other scandinavian leagues. It often takes foreign players a bit of time to get used to it. Reckon it's very much comparative to the championship. Boro certainly wouldn't win the league and I think Copenhagen would have a very good chance of getting out of the Championship. Players like Emil Riis and Pukki both looked pretty poor in Denmark but have been good in England. Mads Hermansen who got into the team of the season as keeper in the Championship played in a team that finished 6th in Denmark last season.

It probably needs more context to make it a useful stat but in isolation, it's not a stat that makes me think he's a player that would improve us.
