  3. Harry green got a mention there. hes a mates lad. Remember him nutmegging blokes and doing stepovers etc when we played 5 a side with him. he was about 10 then. I couldnt believe how good he was at that age. his dad was a good player like and his big brother played for pools. plenty of footy talent in the family.

  4. I love Kike and i'd have him back in a heartbeat. Despite looking like a middle-aged plasterer, he's only 31!

  5. That entire second paragraph explains a lot, the only thing you haven't made up is the point about you not knowing the ins and outs of it. You're having no trouble forming an opinion from all that rubbish, though, clearly.

  6. Siliki got 15 minutes here. Playing him wide left which is interesting. Got a good first touch and put a few great delivery’s into the box. In play and dead balls

  7. I looked up what ice in your veins means. It said "to describe the feeling of being clutch under pressure". Great, now I have to look up what being clutch under pressure is...

  8. I reckon it'll be either keep on going through to January or we'll sign someone on a similar deal to what we did Watmore to begin with. Non-committal, short-term deal to see how they do. Someone like Taylor or Souare.

  14. That Nicky Gyimah-Bio is apparently a "Peterborough prodigy" and has been scouted by premier league teams & Wolfsburg.

  18. Look I love Kike, I do - and I was very tempted to clarify this in my post too. I just don't think if we're talking best striker I can't see past Bamford. Kike was a grafter and a fan favourite, but Bamford is leagues above him, for me anyway!

  19. OK, I can take critisism on the chin and my remarks around him leaving are purely made up, a complete fabrication generated inside my own little shell........We will probably never find out if he was pushed or walked, these things are rarely published, but if he walked then my reasoning for him doing so is as credible as the next. I do however stand by the fact that he came crying to us and virtually begged us to take him! He was quoted as having discussions with Aitor “After we played Burnley (on Boxing Day) I wasn’t in the squad so I saw Aitor after the game, had a good chat with him,

  20. Try both legs of the Villa Play Off games where Pulis tried to defend a 0-1 scoreline without a shot on target. Just when you couldn't bear to watch it any longer and things couldn't become any more tense with all shred of hope just about gone Pulis brings on Rudy Gestede. The first leg terrified me but the second one still gives me nightmares to this very day.

  21. Yet he played better under pulis than he had the previous 3.5 years under other managers

  22. Oh i totally agree with that. Bad decisions led to his sale. I was just saying it was not a case of saying “we would rather keep Britt and sell Bamford or we would rather keep Rudy and sell Bamford”. We needed money due to bad decisions and Bamford was the only one a club wanted and was willing to pay an acceptable fee for

  23. There a drop of sadness reading that article on Morsy. He seems genuinely gutted to be leaving us. As fans we all want players who love playing for our club in the way we would love it and we seemed to have that. However, from a football side the sale does makes sense. Morsy was a honest pro but I feel Siliki offers more than him. Hopefully Morsy finds at Ipswich what he found at Boro in terms of happiness and enjoyment.

  24. It's interesting though, isn't it? That terms or actions often only transcend their original meaning when people want them to? Not painting you this way by the way, just this is what I see from other people. For example, some people who boo taking the knee in football don't accept that the meaning of taking the knee has moved on from being a left-wing, Marxist, anti-police whatever they say it is. But how many of those who boo also think the country is 'too woke' because they think the term woke has transcended its original meaning? I'd love to know though we can probably say nearly 50,00

I said all along that Carrick would commit to the Boro, I dont think he's done enough for a bigish PL club to take a gamble on him, not knocking MC one bit, im happy he's staying, if it's true, great business by the club, saying that if he has signed you would have thought it would have been made public though

I think the poor January transfer window, the cluster£u(k of the Early Bird season cards allied to the team and Carrick being booed after some underwhelming and tactically calamitous showings didn't and still don't lend themselves to any announcements aimed at positive PR. I know many will be ecstatic if Carrick has indeed signed a new contract but equally there will be a few that are somewhat less than convinced. It's all about timing and getting the maximum out of it, poor results and questionable tactics doesn't make for maximum hype and spin. meaning the news (if true) is saved for another week.
