  1. Do people watch football? Todd Cantwell. Norwich turned down £25m-£30m bids for him in the summer. Some fans are deluded.

  2. On visiting several forums and read postings over time I can put hand on heart and say the posters on here have a higher IQ, well for argument sake let’s say most. Most forums cater to posters who can’t string together an argument and revert to profanity when challenged. On the other hand OneBoro is a platform that caters to the more knowledgeable refined, the cultured and intellectual engaging solidarity and empathy among its privileged members. No I don’t believe that either. 😁

  3. It’s refreshing to see us practice attacking movement and ‘bits off the training ground’. Wilder is a tactician where as Warnock wasn’t. I was crying out for aaaaages under Warnock to have some tactical nous when playing, rather than the old school method of out working and lumping it long. Wilder represents ‘modern football’ and I’m glad that Gibson has finally picked a good choice in him. We don’t looked bedraggled anymore and we look like we have a firm plan and identity when playing. From a players point of view I bet it’s refreshing to have someone coach them with some

  4. I’m all for giving the lad a chance. Sporar and Connolly could prove to be a top partnership in the championship

  6. I don’t think Wilder / Scott would be touching him with a barge pole if this was actually true.

  7. Great result but let’s have a bit of honesty. We gifted another goal, lost the mid field, ragged back line, no out let, poor decision, passing and movement. With the amount of missed chances from both sides the game could have gone either way. If anything apart from the fitness and belief we went backwards. A ravaged Blackpool made us look pretty average and we got lucky for never giving up. Well done the travelling fans. The game proved the squad does not have the numbers, depth of talent or balance and changes are required. What it does show is what Chris can do with a very average

  8. I do think we need someone more threatening on the left. Imagine if we had an equal threat to Jones on the other flank.

  9. I think he is worth taking a punt on. The lad has talent and maybe has a bit of growing up to do, but most of us did at that age and we learnt our lessons. It might be that a change of scenery works for him, and knowing that the ice beneath his feet is a little thinner could wake him up. As far as I am concerned, he has a clean slate with us but unless he is really dense, he must realise that this is a very important time in his career and could make a very big difference in the future and he has to keep his nose clean and head down, so it is up to him. Hope it works out and we get another Wat

  11. he was practicing it before Bournemouth too & there's a clip of him doing it in warm up last night too. He practices that *** quite regularly it looks like.

  12. When I woke up yesterday morning to *** weather and a looming cancellation, a slither of me considered sacking off the game. Thank god I didn’t. Never seen us score a last minute winner away from home (as far as I’m aware it’s the first time since Bolton away). And I don’t think I’ll ever experience such a low followed by such a high in such a short period of time ever again. Up the *** boro I am in love with Chris Wilder and Andraž Šporar

  13. I think that's a bit of a stretch, where's the evidence that he's a disruptive influence to other players? If he's coming here he has my full support.

  14. Ugh. Fingers crossed it works out, because this is a serious gamble. We risk completely destroying the togetherness of the squad.

  15. Wasn’t a great performance by any means. In fact I’d go so far as to say we looked as if we had gone backwards somewhat. (Maybe we’re a bit leggy after the run of games) BUT having said all that, I still actually enjoyed watching the game. I have enjoyed watching each game since Wilder took over which is something I haven’t been able to say for quite a while (bar a couple of blip games under Warnock) what I love most is the sense of togetherness we see last night. The never give up attitude and the confidence that even though they conceded that late that it was ok that they felt they cou

  18. I have just watched Sporar goal again and thats an instinctive finish, got to say I hope we keep Sporar at the end of the season. I haven't felt this way about an Boro striker since Kike, I thought Bamford and Negredo were better strikers than Kike, but I felt the passion and desire more in Kike that's what I see in Sporar plus some brilliant movement which is more a Bamford trait tbf.

  19. I've heard he has some beef with the rest of the squad and Wilder just wants everyone to get pasta it and move on.

  20. I second this. Some lad joined the MSS FB group earlier to say how Boro fans are scum of the earth and then started DM’ing and FB friend requests to Boro fans who reacted about how he’s going “to come over” etc. joke was him because he is self employed plasterer with his phone number and address easily found on the internet

  25. Covid outbreak at the club would go some way to explain why Connolly and his girlfriend were staying at Blackwell Grange instead of Rockliffe.

  26. Oh I’m not disagreeing… … just merely stating that it’s interesting the difference of opinion on the two players if you compare them solely based on their current positions at their respective clubs

Two positives: 1. Strength in depth, since we need two good players in every position, rather than having one player acting as backup across several positions. 2. Spence hasn't had a good manager guiding him while he's been at the Boro, and considering how Wilder has improved other players, it'd be interesting to see what he could do with Djed.

  29. Boro's loan deal for Brighton's Aaron Connolly is 'all but agreed' - and should be announced next week. Ikpeazu is set to leave Middlesbrough. Wilder is keen to make at least 3-4 additions. Marcus Browne & Josh Coburn are available for loan. According to TheNorthernEcho.

  31. So 24 in current squad. Take out Browne, Olusanya and Ameobi and a keeper and that is down to 20. Sol Brynn was under 21 at start of season so won't count in 25. Add in Connolly and that makes 21, so still room for 4 more, even without the likes of Hall possibly going. Safe to say exceeding maximum squad size shouldn’t be too much of an issue in Wilders plans for the second half of season.

  32. Here’s the registered squad courtesy of the Gazette: Joe Lumley Luke Daniels Dejan Stojanovic Anfernee Dijksteel Lee Peltier Sol Bamba Dael Fry Grant Hall Paddy McNair Marc Bola Jonny Howson James Lea Siliki Martin Payero Matt Crooks Marcus Tavernier Marcus Browne Duncan Watmore Toyosi Olusanya Onel Hernandez Sammy Ameobi Isaiah Jones Andraz Sporar Uche Ikpeazu I think before we start we could easily remove Brown, Ameobi & Olusanya and that’s before sales.

  34. Between us and Forest for Balogun although one of the "top relegated teams" from last year might have a nibble.

  35. What a nob end...only showing Blackpool's goal. 🤣 Even funnier that he filmed their fans chanting "You're not singing any more", then cutting the video before Boro's winner.

  36. Yeah, that was a bit of a hassle. I was only getting a handful of responses and half of them were people just putting daft scores like all 0s. Or all 0s apart from one player who they would give a 10... as they say, 'if you abuse it, you lose it!'

  37. If I read one more comment saying that Aaron Connolly hasn't achieved anything.. like making 45 premier league appearances and 8 senior international caps at the age of 21 isn't an achievement in itself. That's probably more than the majority of our squad put together.

  38. Not saying that your comment isn’t true, as I agree that we have no chance of getting Cantwell… … but I do find it interesting that fans are deluded for thinking we could possibly get Cantwell, a 23 year old who is on the fringes of a team who are bottom of the league and have been embarrassingly poor at times, yet a lot of fans are up in arms about signing a 21 year old who is in a very similar position, in terms of his position within the squad, of a much better team who are currently 10th in the PL. I know there are question marks over his personal life, but in terms of

There's no doubt that Izzy starts over him at the moment, but that isn't an indictment of Spence, Izzy is one of the most in form players in the league at the moment and looks absolutely at home at RWB for us. I'd rather bring in a loan to cover for Izzy than bring Spence back and have him warming the bench for 6 months.

  42. It was Sheffield Wednesday last game of the season in 2019/20. Assombalonga lobbed the keeper if I recall. But there were no fans and we already knew we were staying up before it was scored, so it wasn't particularly exciting, more a wheyyyy moment that last night's limbs.

  44. Aaaanyway, having now seen the official highlights, it does seem the Boro goal lived a bit of a charmed life early on. Reckon they could have had a couple before Sporar did his backheel. Think a draw would have been a fair result, but Boro got their rewards for not giving up and not settling for a point. Actually rather happy we got the win after seeing what their fans are like.

  45. Didn't watch or listen to the game as I was having a family night, but just watched the highlights and it seems like I missed an incredible game. Sporar's goal, wow. You don't attempt a backheel like that unless you're high on confidence, 3 in 3 is superb. Wilder would have gone mental if he'd missed it though, lol! And although he's inconsistent as all hell, I *** love Duncan Watmore. Playoffs? Nah mate, at this rate we'll be gunning for automatic.

  46. The number of goalkeepers we've gone through since Randolph is a joke. We need to invest in someone who can fit wilderball and will be our number 1 for years to come. Should be high on the priority list.
