  1. To add to this, Tav is the only player in the league to finish in the top 10 in both tackles and key passes, showing again what an all round talent he is. I really don't know what to say to people who don't rate him at this stage. He's easily our best and most important player.

  3. Just watched the ‘every goal from Wilders time’ video the club put up. All I can think is how Sporar seemed to be in some kind of form before he brought the loan strikers in. Can’t help but wonder if he should have stuck with rather then drop him straight away

  4. On the note of us going back for former players. George Friend could be returning.

  5. It’s funny how opinions differ in football. I think Tav is the superior player when compared to Spence and by a long way at that. Tav gives so much more than Spence for me.

  6. Think I speak for everyone when I say that that last wasn't required, absolutely no one was thinking that you'd seen it!

  7. On Friend I was told it was, ‘in some capacity’. Assuming it will have some background role involved

  8. What are you wanting him to do exactly? He's in our top 3 players in games on a very consistent basis. He had 10 goal contributions from midfield and wingback last season aswell as doing alot of pressing and defensive work. Ok maybe he could have scored a few more of his chances but at 23 he's an excellent player who has a strong all round game. I think people will start to appreciate what he gave the team when he's gone because we are going to significantly weaker and he's much a much better and well rounded player than someone like mcgree for example. So are you expecting him to m

  9. I read that as Karankas grandad. 😂

  10. I honestly believe a full season under Wilder in the LCM role would show everyone just how good he is. I think if you took him out of our midfield you'd see how bad and unbalanced it is. McGree and Crooks won't work because neither of them cover enough ground or do the defensive side of the game. Howson I love but let's be honest he's not a traditional out and out CDM. He losses the ball too often in bad positions and his positioning for CDM can be quite poor. He brings commitment, energy and workrate though. For me in midfield we need a LWB, CDM and an RCM. I would drop Crooks to

  11. Really wouldn't worry about it. It's still May - we don't even know who's going up til next weekend. Teams only just announcing their released lists, players about to go on holiday etc... Save your stress for July when we're about to blow our Spence money on a 32 year old defensive midfielder nobody's heard of 😂

  13. Same sort of links that get banded around every transfer window, wouldn't pay them much mind.

  14. Tav is playing in the exact right team and role to showcase his skillset, and is doing so consistently.

  15. Seems strange for Wilder to comment on them leaving good players out.. then signing them as backup and leaving them out 🤷‍♂️

  17. 6th in the form table since he took over with Granada in 17th. Sadly the team 5th in the form table was Mallorca who were 18th when he took over. Did well with results despite the relegation. Missing a penalty and hitting the post in a 0-0 draw to send you down is going to sting.

  18. I’m all for bringing back former players provided they are still good enough but Friend’s legs had gone just before he left us, this one would make no sense, I will always love him though. I wished he never left in the first place it would have been great to see him at the club in some capacity just not playing.

  19. Gibson maybe, not sure we've been linked to Rhodes/Friend since they left? As it was Lurker who mentioned Friend, it's not like it's some random twitter thing, and Rhodes came from that journo.

  20. Unfortunately I seriously doubt if Ameobi will play Football again. The total silence on his absence is deafening and therefore doesn't sound good at all. Hope I'm wrong and it's just a legal wrangle over his medical.

  21. That's why I'd have neither personally.

  22. Pelts got more minutes (out of position) for a promotion chasing team than Friend did for a *** team this season. Don't know if he's an upgrade

  23. A few years ago they put Zoes Place on the kids kit. I think Leeds have put their respective Gazette on their ones as well. Like I said, it's subjective but for me the kits look better with a sponsorship on them.

  25. Well it's subjective, but my son likes the sponsor on as it looks like the kit they play in instead of a training top. So personally, I hope the sponsor is on.

  31. It also says they have an archive with all the kits that didn't make it to production. Given how crazy some of the ones we actually had were, I'd LOVE to see those.

  32. Yeah we don't know yet...Nobody thought Sol Bamba would turn out the way he did, not saying George will do the same but he is a great person to have at the club in some capacity. If he comes in as player/coach and almost takes that "Woodgate role" under Karanka, that would be ideal as I truly think that in Friend, if we get him in now onto the coaching staff, we have a potential future manager down the line.

  33. I would hope Wilder runs his eye over him in the Summer before making a decision unless of course Chuba has already made his mind up on Boro. To me he looks much more like a Wilder Striker than a Warnock one. Rhodes, Gibson and now Friend, I wonder if Leadbitter and Dimi have enough Tiger balm to get them through two games a week, let's get the band back together

  34. I dunno, with some of the names we're being linked with it wouldn't be a massive surprise to me if we signed someone like him, and as he's the person most like him then he would be the ideal candidate.

  36. MFC - Watch every Championship goal under Chris Wilder It's interesting that they've just completed excluded the goals scored under Warnock this season.

  37. I think shirts without sponsors on them look strange tbh.. look like cheap fakes actually. Unless main shirt itself has no sponsor on and has been designed that way I feel the exact opposite. I feel like the shirt is cheapened by having some company with no connection to the club's logo in the middle of it

  40. Kind of feels like the early hype has gone to his head. He couldn't even get a game for Hibs, even Warnock called him out on that move if I remember rightly because he clearly wasn't expected to come in and just play. Can't fault the lad for having ambitions of first-team football but I certainly feel like it's questionable where he expects to get it right now.

  41. It was only a matter of time before we heard about Prem interest in Tav. He is a Premier League quality player and he’s probably the only player I would be gutted about losing.

  44. There is a 0.000001 chance the new home shirt doesn't have a white band. Come on, it's Errea back with the Boro after nearly 15 years, given our history there'll definitely be the white band. I have a feeling the away kit is going to divide a lot of fans too, just like the good old days (No I haven't seen it, I'm just guessing!)

  45. With regards to Burnley, Gary Neville said on Sky sports that he feels any parachute payment money will be going upstairs so it looks like Burnley with so many players coming out of contract they'll need one hell of a scouting network. Burnley will lose Nick Pope and I don't normally like helping our championship rivals, but I know where they can pick up one helluva keeper at a very very reasonable price a lad called Lumley.

  47. Sell Spence, sign Gibson, Darlow, Rhodes, Gregory with that money. Akpom, Payero, Fisher, Ameobi will all be like new signings for us. What more could anyone want from a transfer window? 🤷‍♂️

  49. why are the only options were looking at to solve our lack of goals, strikers who not only lack goals but are also getting on in years? we were linked with lee Gregory earlier, a strike whos never scored more than 10 goals in a season in the championship and now we're looking at Mcgoldrick who turns 35 this season, Rhodes who turns 33 and neither has a good goal-scoring record of late. grabban is the best of the bunch in terms of goals but turns 35 this coming season aswell. Also, apart from mcgoldrick, not sure grabban or rhodes are the high-working strikers that Wilders style demands.
