  1. To add to this, Tav is the only player in the league to finish in the top 10 in both tackles and key passes, showing again what an all round talent he is. I really don't know what to say to people who don't rate him at this stage. He's easily our best and most important player.

  3. Just watched the ‘every goal from Wilders time’ video the club put up. All I can think is how Sporar seemed to be in some kind of form before he brought the loan strikers in. Can’t help but wonder if he should have stuck with rather then drop him straight away

  4. On the note of us going back for former players. George Friend could be returning.

  5. It’s funny how opinions differ in football. I think Tav is the superior player when compared to Spence and by a long way at that. Tav gives so much more than Spence for me.

  6. Think I speak for everyone when I say that that last wasn't required, absolutely no one was thinking that you'd seen it!

  7. On Friend I was told it was, ‘in some capacity’. Assuming it will have some background role involved

  8. What are you wanting him to do exactly? He's in our top 3 players in games on a very consistent basis. He had 10 goal contributions from midfield and wingback last season aswell as doing alot of pressing and defensive work. Ok maybe he could have scored a few more of his chances but at 23 he's an excellent player who has a strong all round game. I think people will start to appreciate what he gave the team when he's gone because we are going to significantly weaker and he's much a much better and well rounded player than someone like mcgree for example. So are you expecting him to m

  9. I read that as Karankas grandad. 😂

  10. I honestly believe a full season under Wilder in the LCM role would show everyone just how good he is. I think if you took him out of our midfield you'd see how bad and unbalanced it is. McGree and Crooks won't work because neither of them cover enough ground or do the defensive side of the game. Howson I love but let's be honest he's not a traditional out and out CDM. He losses the ball too often in bad positions and his positioning for CDM can be quite poor. He brings commitment, energy and workrate though. For me in midfield we need a LWB, CDM and an RCM. I would drop Crooks to

  11. Really wouldn't worry about it. It's still May - we don't even know who's going up til next weekend. Teams only just announcing their released lists, players about to go on holiday etc... Save your stress for July when we're about to blow our Spence money on a 32 year old defensive midfielder nobody's heard of 😂

  12. Same sort of links that get banded around every transfer window, wouldn't pay them much mind.

  13. Tav is playing in the exact right team and role to showcase his skillset, and is doing so consistently.

  14. Seems strange for Wilder to comment on them leaving good players out.. then signing them as backup and leaving them out 🤷‍♂️

  16. 6th in the form table since he took over with Granada in 17th. Sadly the team 5th in the form table was Mallorca who were 18th when he took over. Did well with results despite the relegation. Missing a penalty and hitting the post in a 0-0 draw to send you down is going to sting.

  17. I’m all for bringing back former players provided they are still good enough but Friend’s legs had gone just before he left us, this one would make no sense, I will always love him though. I wished he never left in the first place it would have been great to see him at the club in some capacity just not playing.

  18. Gibson maybe, not sure we've been linked to Rhodes/Friend since they left? As it was Lurker who mentioned Friend, it's not like it's some random twitter thing, and Rhodes came from that journo.

  19. Unfortunately I seriously doubt if Ameobi will play Football again. The total silence on his absence is deafening and therefore doesn't sound good at all. Hope I'm wrong and it's just a legal wrangle over his medical.

  20. Pelts got more minutes (out of position) for a promotion chasing team than Friend did for a *** team this season. Don't know if he's an upgrade

  21. A few years ago they put Zoes Place on the kids kit. I think Leeds have put their respective Gazette on their ones as well. Like I said, it's subjective but for me the kits look better with a sponsorship on them.

  22. Well it's subjective, but my son likes the sponsor on as it looks like the kit they play in instead of a training top. So personally, I hope the sponsor is on.

  30. Exactly the same as me. I know it’s early days, but none of the names have made me excited.

  31. Yeah we don't know yet...Nobody thought Sol Bamba would turn out the way he did, not saying George will do the same but he is a great person to have at the club in some capacity. If he comes in as player/coach and almost takes that "Woodgate role" under Karanka, that would be ideal as I truly think that in Friend, if we get him in now onto the coaching staff, we have a potential future manager down the line.

  32. One can only hope so. I mean where is a LB going to fit into a system that only plays CBs and wing backs? 🤷‍♂️ Plus at his age he's not likely going to have the legs to do the amount of running Wilder likes his players to do (at least not twice a week).

  40. There is a 0.000001 chance the new home shirt doesn't have a white band. Come on, it's Errea back with the Boro after nearly 15 years, given our history there'll definitely be the white band. I have a feeling the away kit is going to divide a lot of fans too, just like the good old days (No I haven't seen it, I'm just guessing!)

  41. They went to Scotland in 2020, when they were limited because of Covid. They went away to Portugal in 2019 and 2018, Spain in 2017 and 2016.

  42. Burnley getting relegated instead of Leeds is good for the likes of us in the Championship next season. Burnley have loads of players out of contract, an ageing squad, only recently ripped up Dyche's successful foundations and are loaded with loads of debt following their takeover by an American consortium so aren't going to be in a particularly good place next season. Watford and Norwich have undoubtedly had poor seasons in the Premier League but still have the same effective foundations that have proven their ability to bounce back from relegation in previous seasons.

  43. As much as I'd have like Leeds to go down it was probably the best 3 we could ask for if competing for promotion next season.

Yeah been injured mate but he’s back now, just getting back to full fitness.  Couple young lads have travelled today. Not sure whether they’ll be on bench or just with the squad to get the experience.

No expectations or hope, going to watch it feeling like a neutral somewhat. A good game of football will suffice. Even with a positive run of results, it's too little too late.

I think that says a great deal of how fans are feeling now It's completely flat being a boro fan for many reasons this season and we have retreated so much from last seasons high I for one can't wait for the season to be over! Few more wins and  I am looking forward to see the likes of luke Woolston getting a few chances by the end of the season. I'm sure this MDT will pick up at the end of today's result 🤣
