It could be that he wants to stay and the club want him to stay, so it makes sense for him to train with the squad, but his agent is just going back and forth over the finer points of the contract.

One thing I hadn't put together with Roberts is that he's coming from Northampton where WIlder used to be manager. Obviously having only joined them last summer he hasn't managed him but you'd think there'll be people at the club that Wilder knows and will have spoken to about him.

Lol. Statistically last season he was in the upper half of goalkeepers for all the important stats pretty much. I'd say he was decent. He's miles, miles ahead of Joe Lumley though, who ranks dangerously low in far too many categories, so it's a huge upgrade based on what we had previously.

Well I can't be sure, to be honest mate. But it's been a month now that he's been a free agent, and we've been looking for a goalkeeper since long before that. I think this is the key point. If £560 was just the average price for a season ticket now, that would be a bit more acceptable. It's knowing that we're one of the most expensive in the top two leagues that is the problem.
