Yeah I’m with this. I get the clamour to go up (I really do) cos it’s huge for the club, finances, etc etc. But I’m one of the few that doesn’t believe it’s our ONLY chance. Hellberg has fairly consistently got teams promoted/successful in his second season. We’ll have big money to invest - albeit some via the loss of players. Also coming down will be dog: Wolves will be relegated again, relegation will destroy West Ham & well…Burnley are seasoned veterans at this now. It’s our best chance in a while, for sure. I totally understand that. I also want it for the story and this team and players (Hackney, etc). The story is unreal if we did manage it. Redcar lad Hayden Hackney rejecting a big money move, manager bins us off, Adi comes in and steers us to the Birmingham win, appoint a relative unknown who turns out to be a maverick & tactical genius, whilst holding off the forces of evil & injuries to triumph in the face of all adversity. All joking aside, I’m not sure any club in the league has faced down the adversity we have. It’s got it all.
