  1. I can nip that one in the bud. He was at the match. Source: my eyes
  2. Ayling's Bun looks shocking. I hope Hellberg gives him a bollocking at half time and tells him sort the mess out. There now, that's much like a Boro match thread!
  3. talking about assessment for home "soon" UTB

Wilder did more for us today than he ever did as manager
  5. He was virtually an attacking midfielder at times. I wish he was 4 years younger because along with Targett our passing out of defence is Premier league quality.
  6. I find it lazy the narrative of Preston were crap. Kim got our gameplan spot on , they couldn't handle the way we set up and we deserved that. The fitness and work rate of this team is anything above I've seen from a Boro team.
  7. Hellberg masterclass. Weak line-up my ***.
  8. Malanda is very deceptive as a fullback. Plays like a centreback.
  9. Morris has definitely been working on his shooting. Its coming for him
  10. You're quite an unpleasant person aren't you? What's so difficult to believe that he's been a scout? I've met a couple of scouts, and one of them worked as a taxi driver as well, it's not like it's a special profession. Anyone can do it really, you just need the opportunity to do it, which usually comes via some kind of contact/relationship with someone working at a football club. There must be thousands and thousands of scouts around the world so why is it difficult to believe one might post on here?
  11. They showed Whittaker’s touch map after about 60 minutes and it was insane. He covered so much of the pitch and was massively involved in a lot of our play. It’s funny, because you don’t think of him as a hard worker, but he really does contribute a lot.

Never forget when we went to Sheffield United when we were chasing, under Carrick and we utterly wrecked them. I'm considering the possibility of allowing this to happen again.

If you'd have offered me Hull, Millwall and Wrexham winning but Ipswich lose, I'd have taken it tbh.
  14. Going to keep boosting this until I get a like lol! https://www.skysports.com/football/video/26947/13498387/middlesbrough-4-0-preston-north-end-championship-highlights
  15. I'm really not sure how that one wasn't a red.
  16. They've been poor, but we've been excellent.
  17. "Next seasons our season" I've seen people say "consolidate in Jan -> war chest in the summer if we don't go up" pretty much every season since getting relegated Then get annoyed when we don't seem to have a war chest in the summer
  18. Would we really want to shpendi that much?
  19. It's just people chatting about football isn't at the end of the day. Whether people posting about players they'd like to us to try and sign or people posting about players they've heard that we are interested in, it's all just footy/Boro chat 🤷‍♂️ I don't have any difficulty in believing that a scout might post on here or that people who get given information from inside the club post on here. It's a football forum so it would be odd if they didn't. It's exactly where you'd expect to find people like that.
  20. Honestly I'd keep Silvera as backup to Whittaker on the wide right as its his favourote position and you have the added bonus thay he can cover almost anywhere on the pitch in a pinch. Plus he's performing well this year
  21. As days go that couldnt have gone much better. Outstanding performance especially for the first 60minutes. Ive had to relook at the team and work out how they managed to get Brown, Hackney, Morris, Ayling, Castledine and Whittaker in the team. Even before the red it felt like we were playing with an extra man dominating all areas of the pitch. So much positivity today. Targett outstanding, Fry and Malanda cruising, Ayling going back to his normal position and getting a quality assist. Conway has the broken his duck well and truly now and Whittaker despite not being at his best still scored. Could go through the whole team but our midfield is just dominating teams now. Then add the return of Mcgree and Brittain back on the bench. I felt this could be where we really suffer given the players we have had out but everyone has stepped up since. I do feel we are more than a match for anyone in this league now and bar another injury crisis there's no reason we shouldn't be top 2.
  22. This result today and the fact that we will still be above Ipswich after their game in hand must surely prompt the club to go out and get what we need it could be entirely in our own hands or feet if you prefer
  23. Not sure how he’s fit an iceberg on the bench
  24. Lol just seen Boro's Twitter bio, Sorba Thomas has had a nightmare of a week
  25. a league of legends reference on a Boro forum, didn't think I'd ever see the day.
  26. Hellberg's league record: 4 wins 4 without a win 4 wins
  27. Paul Heckingbottom at half time “Right lads 3-0 down at half time, keep it tight look for your chances, DON’T DO ANYTHING STUPID!! “ especially in the first 5 minutes Jordan Storey “Hold me beer” 😂😂😂
  28. At 4-0 up I’m keen to hear from Plastic Goat
  29. We've actually been pretty wasteful, this could be over!
  30. If we can get another 9 here we can overturn the Ipswich goal difference advantage
  31. Alan Browne. Where we’re going, we don’t need strikers
  32. Yeah I’m with this. I get the clamour to go up (I really do) cos it’s huge for the club, finances, etc etc. But I’m one of the few that doesn’t believe it’s our ONLY chance. Hellberg has fairly consistently got teams promoted/successful in his second season. We’ll have big money to invest - albeit some via the loss of players. Also coming down will be dog: Wolves will be relegated again, relegation will destroy West Ham & well…Burnley are seasoned veterans at this now. It’s our best chance in a while, for sure. I totally understand that. I also want it for the story and this team and players (Hackney, etc). The story is unreal if we did manage it. Redcar lad Hayden Hackney rejecting a big money move, manager bins us off, Adi comes in and steers us to the Birmingham win, appoint a relative unknown who turns out to be a maverick & tactical genius, whilst holding off the forces of evil & injuries to triumph in the face of all adversity. All joking aside, I’m not sure any club in the league has faced down the adversity we have. It’s got it all.
  33. Plus we now know he's walking!
  34. yes, confirmed in the EG today. Emergency operation(s), serious injuries, recovering well
  35. Don’t think you’ll be waiting long for Brittain
  36. I think a top striker and a CB on loan that can do a job if needed and we’ll win the league Hellberg’s too good
  37. Malanda was also playing in midfield at times. I think we have realised what a good player he is and are trying to get the most out of him.
  38. All I’ve seen is Millwall fans ask to replace him
  39. Reckon he’s fine. Although the tackle was high I feel the forearm to the face is what hurt him.
  40. Disgrace of a challenge, that should be a red. Malanda injured now.
  41. Some transfer window we’ve had, 2 in 2 for this Conway lad we’ve just signed, finally a goalscorer!
  42. Going up and down defs helps your finances, plus u have players that u move on as well coming down for decent money. Leciester dont have the advantage because they have over spent in the past and breached psr/ffp And the owners have also pulled most the funding from the club because the business end of king power is massively down and pushing the company to its limits
