  2. Arsenal usually have a couple of good ones in the U21's @Denzel Zanzibar anyone you would recommend?
  3. I think the prem 'panic' over FFP is the reason for the slow window, they're not buying and only selling at a premium so the scraps are not falling from the table.
  4. The debate has been done to death, the lack of a frontline striker is obvious to everyone, including the club. It seems that they have identified targets that fit in with the model, however they have been unable to get them over the line for whatever reason. Personally, I'd rather we keep our powder dry until the summer and have a better chance of landing our No.1 targets than waste money on a loan or an ill advised purchase, which thankfully is what Scott, it seems is in agreement with. Even with Harry Kane we're not going up this year so let's keep plugging away, with an eye on next seaso
  5. Making the play offs, failing in the final is £3m gate receipts or there about so failing can have it's own rewards
  6. 6 foot 2 eyes of blue .....
  7. I believe that the first payment on the deal was deferred a year to help both clubs with FFP
  8. People on here thought he wasn't worth 5 never mind £10m
  9. wishful thinking or do you have news
  10. when they are both not playing for their teams in the prem we'll be able compare them directly 😄
  11. just haggling, take what I offer or I walk away, pay what we want or do one we have to stay firm on this as we hold all the cards this time, crumble to Villa's lower offer and we set a precedent we don't want.
  12. If it is there final offer they better make it a good one.
  13. wish they'd update the pic, when was the last time he wore a city kit?
  14. So the flight watch begins 😂
  15. EFL want more money from the Prem' so they are keeping the extra game as it earns more money for them, if the Prem increase the solidarity payment I think the 2nd game will disappear
  16. they wouldn't put a buy clause in the Archer loan, so it sounds like they are behaving like a 6 year old when you say no.
  17. Guess we may be prepared to wait until summer if we can't get the right player in, at the right price now.
  18. Sky carrying a piece on why the window is quiet, P&S seems to be the reason, so Rogers could have more suitors in the summer or none, personally think it's worth the risk keeping him until summer '25 https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/13055400/january-transfer-window-why-is-the-market-quieter-than-normal-this-year-and-will-it-get-busy-by-deadline-day
  19. I think the only thing up for debate is when to sell, not if, the reality is we will sell, but when will be the peak value, that's why Mr Scott gets the big bucks.
  20. So do we take £7m profit (if the £10m is correct) or wait until summer and hope to get £11m+ profit as his stock rises and interest grows, adding into the mix the usual promoted/relegated clubs, plus any other who are no doubt watching.
  21. to keep my response in context @Humpty had suggested there are no guarantees Rogers will fulfil his obvious potential, I just countered that. So what's your point?
  22. Villa aren't interested in him because they believe he'll fail to develop, but because they expect him to develop well beyond his current level. Which can only serve imo to underline the reason to keep him until the summer as the earliest point of departure, it's a gamble but so was signing him in the first place.
  23. Crooks made Thiago look sprightly !
