  1. Brentford looked like they were playing with an extra man at times, there was always someone free. They passed around quickly, a lot of 1 touch stuff, within two to three passes they were off down the sideline. They played very, very well. I will say though that it was one of those games where every bounce went their way. Balls would take weird bounces and land right back at a Brentford foot, deflections would somehow bounce back out to a Brentford player, the wind would carry the ball perfectly for a Brentford player to control. It was thoroughly bizarre. Glad we came away with a
  2. A draw is not the end of the world If Cardiff best Derby we are still level on points with them
  3. Can’t complain! He is clearly resting Ayala and Besic who have struggled with recent injuries. Let’s hope Assombalonga doesn’t break his worst ever goal drought record
  4. Exactly as it began eh Tyler (smiley face thing to indicate it's a joke...or is it?) Have you been looking through my bedroom window again Keith?
  5. Bamford. Ipswich and Forest will all score second half. Then the day will end with a smile. And a glass of wine
  6. The bench looks solid too. A young defender and an experienced one A young attacking midfielder and an old experienced one A young forward/winger and a proven striker. Options for every eventuality there. So Cranie can come on for Downing with 15 left. Ha
  7. It was said a couple of times that he was injured. But many people believe it was an ‘injury’ to cover his imminent exit. Really happy he is starting today.
  8. Good stuff BWS. Having Spain and Brazil as your second teams must ease the burden of being an England fan somewhat!
  9. Sadly I agree with this. Kane is an outstanding centre forward. Walker is a good RB. Rashford has potential. Sterling is having a good season. The quality beyond that is tragic. The keeper situation is very worrying. Hart and Pickford having dodgy seasons. Butland and Forster playing in terrible teams. The other full backs are inconsistent or injured. The CBs are all average at this level (could Stones step up?) The midfield. Well. Who knows. Barkley and Wilshere have never quite lived up to their ‘next big thing’ tag. OxChamb has a lot of qualities, but is he good enough to enforc
  10. Bamford has the same number of Riverside goals as Juninho
  11. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Cranie — Shotton — Ayala — Gibson If Friend is out. But hopefully Fabio is just in the squad because Friend is going to start as a potential risk. Does anyone know if Leadbitter is fit? If he is, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him start. Especially if Besic is struggling
  12. This was my understanding of it. Clubs are unhappy that Wolves are exploiting ‘loopholes’ in FFP (in the way you describe) which gives them an unfair advantage.
  13. What a beautiful analogy Weren't we already 2-0 up before Clayton even came on? Not that I'm the biggest fan of Leadbitter but it seems odd to credit Clayton when the game was already done and dusted really before he set foot on the pitch? I am not entirely sure if your condescension is aimed at me or my fellow contributor. If it pacifies your troubled mind at all I was praising the quality of the linguist choice more so than the footballing point.
