There are absolutely no guarantees with going with your own prospects but it would be great to see a striker given a chance and saving us £5m or so

Moving to another Championship side mind, who did think he was ready. I think the club might have wanted someone with more guarantees in terms of what to expect but maybe we need to give our own youth a chance

You do have to question has Cannon showed that much more than Coburn to spend £7m on and to send Coburn out on loan? Theyre the same age, Cannon has scored 8 goals in 1678 mins in the championship and Coburn has 5 in 541 mins. Cannon is no doubt ahead of Coburn but are we better off banking on Josh progressing from his loan last season and giving him a bit more responsibility? I should add, this is talking as someone who knows very little about Tom Cannon besides the stats

I am not sure really, he doesnt seem keen on Forss there and there is nothing to say he fancies Greenwood as a ST. I think it could be Latte, Coburn and Crooks in the main
