The mistake Wheater made was sticking with us in The Championship, he was called up for England and linked with a move to Manchester United. I don’t believe he would’ve achieved that after getting relegated with us but he should’ve moved to a Premier League team when he had the chance and his football story would’ve been a lot different to the one it has been.

I am confident for this game, not entirely sure why but I guess it’s because I believe in Carrick, the way we play, and despite missing some big players we will have enough to see off Millwall in the end. 2-1 Boro. Dieng McNair - Fry - Lenihan - Coulson Barlaser - Hackney Jones - McGree - Silvera Forss Although most posters don’t seem too happy I believe that Silvera, Gilbert, Payero, Rogers and RvdB are going going to have massive seasons for us and will only get better as the season goes on. Whatever happens with Payero will be a win-win for us, either he stays and becomes great or if the rumours from Europe are true we are selling him for £15 million (€12 million), I would prefer the former.

Still a crap result, embarrassed by the worst team in the league, allowed top of the league to get promoted in our own backyard and pretty much bossed by a team full of school kids who made a lot of our players look average. We need to find more soon otherwise all this potential we’ve built up under Carrick will be a waste of time.
