I think you’ll find Gibbo has had detractors on here and elsewhere for years so don’t buy into he has anywhere near 100% support

How well run are we? Change of strategy after finishing 4th that has resulted in a disastrous start. We are saddled with a mountain of debt. Collectively their squad worth considerably more, bigger club. Bigger potential if things are got right.

Our biggest outgoing could well be Carrick. Can see the Everton job coming up soon - and who knows if he’s be interested? Geographically could work, new stadium in construction, supposedly better players and if he is feeling let down could certainly be a move that interests him. Would I be devastated if we lost him? Not overly. Think his tactics have been worked out. Biggest issue/ problem who could we get in?

Make no mistake we are showing signs of being in a relegation fight this year.

So are you happy with the recruitment? You happy with the quality? How could we pay half a season to the quality players (Archer and Ramsey) last season? How do you know the present financial position of the club? Answers are everyone doesn’t have a clue regarding these matters.

That we probably will agree on. The team is unrecognisable in terms of players and quality- another glorious opportunity to build on and exploit from last season totally peed up the wall.

Anyone else finding this thread somewhat depressing? Allegedly one of the better players wanting out. A lack ( visibly) of action bringing in necessary reinforcements. Make no mistake we need a minimum of 3 signings- with quality being the key word. Will we see this? Have we any money to spend? Will it be Premier league squad players? I just wish we would press the accelerator pedal and get in what we need to get in. I guess the only thing you could say is it is mirroring the Boro of old……. Not something we need to see

What surprises me is how there can be much expection from us to deliver anything remotely like last season. The guts ripped out of the side - for whatever reasons - and we bring in novices to try and be scorers. Flawed policy cruelly exposed. Needs addressing urgently.
