  1. http://m.derbytelegraph.co.uk/derby-county-defender-cyrus-christie-discusses-his-rams-future/story-30367987-detail/story.html Cyrus Christie has always impressed me at RB , been consistently good in the Championship for a few years now. What's his value £4 Million ?
  2. Guedioura has shades of our signing of Jason Euell. Pointless appeasement signing. If we're stupid and desperate I can see him landing a 40K a week, 4 year contract that'll be a noose around our Championship neck. I feel for Gibson , in his mind he has done the right thing with Victor Orta, and building the close ties with Jorge Mendes & Peter Kenyon, but from an outsider they're literally stealing from the club, as they have delivered the square root of nothing in return. Guedioura smacks of the agent phoning about with his availability and we've bit. Jesé, Bojan & Del-boy we
  3. Weren't we scouting Matteo Politano in Dec for a bid this month . Maybe the prospect of Jesé, Bojan , etc pushed him down the list. Possibly now he's making his way back up it.
  4. After is usually ur best bet. I've hung around the temporary barriers in front of the players entrance with my boy and all the Boro players have been fantastic. Even Steve Gibson give us a photo Many thanks for the reply. Roughly how long after the game do you have to wait? 18:00/18:30 or later ? Nowhere near that late. Usually they'll warm down, shower, and be out by 5:30. The ones who haven't played could be out be 5:15 Great stuff. Thanks for the reply Tom.

  6. **Help Needed** Hello, Quick question. When's best to try to get player autographs and pics, before or after the game? Trust me it's not my bag, but my little ones are dead keen. I was hoping to find out roughly what time the players turn up on match day , or when they leave to judge when is best for me to stand like a Wally hoping they snag a player or two. Appreciate any feedback.
  7. My only concern is that we move onto target B, C or D and make a signing, for the Venky's to get twitchy at the end of the window and take a lesser offer than ours right now, from another Chsmpionship club (QPR replacing Austin for example) . That would "grind my gears" to say the very least. And with the Venky's anything can happen.
  8. I agree about the stats comment. If next season we can have AA on one wing and either Reach/Muzzy on the other dragging the opposition defence out wide, it'll help create space for either Downing or Tomlin to work their "magic" in the middle. AA is generally feared by Championship defences , regardless of stats. Also in my humble opinion he has the best first touch of anyone in the first team.
  9. I'm assuming Damia has recovered, but it's his legal situation that has hindered his return to club activities. Is there any latest news on what's going on?
  10. The FFP rules are riddled with flaws and loop holes. Thinking out loud, we have a free pint incentive with every home game for season ticket holders (is that right?). Whose to say this won't be written into the figures as Steve GIbson personally buying those who qualify a pint? £3.50 a pint x10,000 is £35K per week Gibson can put into the club coffers which is completely out side of the £6 million "loss top up" rule. Not to say that's the case, but I'm convinced not only Gibson but all league chairmen would have commissioned very intelligent lawyers and accountants to find such things.
  11. Go on Stubbzy old bean, rule him out, so we can continue to dream about Vossen, etc.
  12. Isn't there a new rule in force this season, something along the lines of only 5 loans players allowed in match day squads? Shay, Varga & Ayala would only leave us with 2 spaces for these Chelsea lads. Unless of course we make Varga & Ayala permanent during the window? Just a thought.
  13. The financial riches of the Premier League are far too great to be ignored. £90 million guaranteed for promotion, could mean the survival of the club for many a year. People saying they'd rather we play football the 'proper way' in league 1 or 2 than hoofball our way to the PL, are crazy. I wouldn't mind if Jackie Stallone got the job, as long as we get to the promised land. If we end up in league 1 or 2, we become a feeder club. Any prospect that will emerge from an under funded academy (as we could lose cat 1 status), that plays 'pretty' football will be gone in a heartbeat. I suppor
  14. Mowbray's job with regards to transfers is to specify a wish list of players that will compliment the current squad, play the type of football in his philosophy, that will push us to 'the next level'. I believe he's done this with targeting the likes of McCormack, Becchio, Ayala, Vitor, Ireland, Vargas, etc etc. Also it's Mowbray's job to act as a persuader, to get targets to 'buy into' what we're doing here. With Whitehead, Adomah, etc, he has proved effective in this role. I can't think of any player in this window that we've agreed all the financial aspects, fee, wages, signing on bonus
  15. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/8842164/ Might be an option for back up (or replacement), Mogga knows him well enough, and I'm sure his agent would have put in a call.
