It's Boro - crap against Wigan, Luton and Barnsley and we'll win tonight.
That or we really are that bad and we'll get hammered and be playing League One next season.
-
Well, it will be a nice day out and....i'm not sure how much money a replay will earn, but it saddens me we have to think about a few extra pence.

You can't really blame us for that given the opposition.
No, but like I say, it's ingrained and i'd imagine we'd be doing this versus Tooting and Mitcham as well.
I understand it today, however I fear this will still happen week in week out in the Championship.
-
Come on Lukas - time to be a hero!
We're on a great run, but sitting back, defending too deep is still ingrained.
-
Bugger!
Oh well 2/3 in and we're level. Still in this.
-
Wow!
Giant killers!?!? 😅

Wow, Liverpool really not giving a *** about the FA Cup. Seen their lineup against Everton?
They'll still beat Everton 😆 Klopp said he only had 12 players or something. I guess they have bigger fish to fry after 30 years and Klopp is taking nothing for granted despite the huge lead.

0-0 and a good 0-0 for us.
4 wins seems to have given us a little more confidence as you would expect. Think we may be giving Spurs too much reespect, but understandable given their standing in the Premier League compared to our current situation.

Going back a couple of days, delighted to get Roberts in on loan. Nmecha is lesser known, but at least we have done early business, rather than wait until deadline day. It gives us another 4 weeks to focus on other targets.
Don't want Randolph to go, but at the right price we should let him go. We have Pears who has come through now, and although he's not at Randolph's level yet, it makes good financial sense to sell Randolph if the money is too good to turn down.
It's the same with Britt, although i'd like an experienced/proven replacement in.
-
Wow, Spurs playing possibly the best they have available - maybe Mourinho fears us 😂
Nice to see Roberts in the side, and hopefully Nmecha comes on. Realistically we won't win the cup, but this is an important game for those two to get some action ready for the league.

If they can keep going the way they are we could very well make the play offs. Maybe, just maybe, they are starting to believe.
Hopefully.
This is Boro though, we've been kicked many times before, and at times this season we've woefully underperformed.
Let's hope the last four games lifts spirits and we add some new blood in the right areas in this window.

I'd be surprised, but pleased if Roberts came here.
I think he's better than Championship, so it will be a coup.

I don't know what the players Christmas Dinner was, but they need it every pre-match meal.
Two fantastic results. Let's just hope it's not because the transfer market is here and in February they'll go back to type.
4 in a row and suddenly we are nearer the playoffs than the relegation zone, points wise.
It's a funny old game.

Woohoo!
Could be a massive win come May.
-
Oh lordy, we're winning.
Back to 5-4-1 then, but something to hold onto.
-
Ha!
1-1
What now? Back to when we were 0-0 or has attacking shown Woodgate we can score?
-
Maybe going behind will see the start of a bit more attacking play?
We'll be lucky to score one, let alone two to win the game.

Maddison link is interesting given his stats. 26 with stats like that, he deserves a chance of playing at a higher level, and whenever I have seen him for Peterborough, he's one of those players who has a lot of confidence and will have a go from anywhere, which our players seem to lack both of.

I don't think we should go gung ho for 90 minutes but we shouldn't play like we did today for 70 minutes either. There's a happy middle ground that he needs to find. That 70 minutes has to be up there as some of the worst football we've played this year. I do give him credit for the changes and making the right subs, but had he got the tactics right from the beginning he may not have needed to change things so drastically.
Plus he only made the changes because he had too. He was happy with a 0-0, and maybe rightly so, but he does this whoever we play away too and it's also the manner. This isn't great defending 0-0, this is desperate, hope and pray we don't concede 0-0. We caught Forest on one of their off nights, and they still should have beat us.
It's a great point in the grand scheme of things and of course I am delighted, but make no mistake, from what i've seen we are still the most boring, negative side in the league. We have no idea going forward and the players look frightened. I don't blame Woodgate fully, and I am still on his side, because the terrible hand he was given has got worse due to injuries. The players are still locked in a Pulis mindest, and Woodgate's mentor was that very man himself.
We have a positive point, 1 defeat in 5 is it? Equal amount of wins in the last couple of weeks than the rest of the season, but winning (grinding) 1-0 at home unconvincingly to 4 of your relegation rivals all season, should not be seen as some kind of achievement. We have injuries, but we need new faces, new ideas and new impetus.
Oh and Adam Clayton's days in a Boro shirt should be coming to an end. I thank him for his great service and the part he played in helping us get promoted, but sorry Adam, it's back to U2 for you as your best days with us are long gone.
We have some half decent footballers in our squad (for their respective positions) Randolph, Ayala, McNair, Howson, and some promising players in Fry, Coulson, Spence etc, but we need new blood and a change of philosophy as we play with little more than hope - hope that we can hold out, hope we get a lucky break and hope we bore our opponents to tears. Their doesn't appear to be any other gameplan other than when we go behind to chuck an attacking player on and hope we nick a point.
Lots of positives with regards to results of late, but actual performances in regards to attacking play and looking like we are meant to be at this level, are leaving a lot to be desired.
Great point, one defeat in five.....onwards and upwards to Swansea on Saturday.

They all wanted groups to earn more money so that's the way it goes.
I agree, but i'm thinking from a fans point of view, but then we are the last thing clubs think of.
-
Valuable point, but yeah, this won't change anything in Woodgate's mindset, it will be more of the same at Swansea.

Adomah on. You know what's going to happen now...
Hopefully he forgets which team he is playing for and puts one in his own net.

Look what happens when we actually attack
Precisely
You can't score goals unless you attack. Or Lee Dixon decides to lob his own keeper.

I’d rather have Zhimay in charge than Woodgate 😁
I'd rather have Theresa May. She couldn't get Brexit done, but Woodgate seems be to be getting Champexit done, so maybe she'd fail to relegate us.

Typical, the only three goals in the Championship tonight are three we didn't want.
