Pretty encouraged by the dealing so far this window. If we can get howson and Christie through the door both seem like decent business (although there will be no sell on value for howson). Getting the likes of barragan and de Pena put the door early should be good too. We are still short in some key areas though, a further striker like assombalonga is certainly required. Strange game yesterday, Espinosa looked poor a couple of times at the back but on the whole I though we zipped the ball round much quicker in general and looked a threat. We were pinned back the last 15 minutes or so so I think a point is a fair result.

Shame it hasn't quite worked out for him here. Was touted as the next big thing early in his career. He's still only 20, which is nothing really. Could still have a big future if he can get a club to give him some games

The funny thing is that both bale and Ronald I in their younger years were both infamous for poor decision making (see Ronaldos performance against us when we beat them 3-0). As they began to make better decisions they quickly went from being off the benchers to world class. I'm not actually convinced bales decisions making is still all that great. The point is that both bale and ronaldo both had the raw attributes but worked on their decision making. It is possible.

January is a horrible time to be buying. I do think we have a number of players who we need to look to move on: Mejias- sell or loan De Pena - sell or loan De start - loan Husband - sell or loan Rhodes/nugent - sell if a desperate championship club come in with bit offers but if not, keep. As for purchasing, anyone we are looking at needs to be top quality. We have loads of keepers, centre backs, full backs and centre mids. I'd only be looking at a striker and possibly a winger/am if the right one became available.
