  1. Looks like we've sold over 30k already for the game with a likely sell out
  2. I draw would be a great result from this fixture, Everton are one of the most dangerous team in the league. I'd take a clean sheet now.
  3. 30,551 at the palace game, first time in since 2005 that we've had four consecutive 30k+ crowds
  4. I'm not sure how £10 mill could be considered a small gamble, even for subotic. It's still a massive chunk of our budget and would make any player our forth most expensive signing ever
  5. Jones Tiendalli st ledger Hines haas Shawkey Digard o'shea Folan bent Miller Did I do it right??
  6. Thats what nergedo was thinking then 'oh ffs' . we've all done it and he was looking pretty tired by then, hes not fully fit i reckon. once he gets his stamina up he'll be pretty likely to take most of the golden chances, like that was. It was a big shame cause he deserved a goal. I couldn't understand why he didn't take it into his left foot
  7. But it's not just them, it's them plus reach, de Pena with nugent, nsue and Forshaw also having been utilised behind the front man. As it stand the squad is too big for another attacking signing. That said, I could see it happening if we let someone out on loan. On the reach point, it's getting increasingly hard to value players as so much depends on which clubs are interested, but given that we have no need to sell and we have already rejected a reported £2m bid for him earlier in the summer, I'd say £4m would be achievable if the right club was interested. As for Rhodes, I wouldn't be
  8. Sell out at the sol, I'm still not sure how they can get away with not giving us the minimum 3k tickets though... Tickets on sale for palace this morning
  9. According to msn sport, aitor karanka is the lowest paid permanent manager in the premier league, earning £355,000 per year
  10. I don't think karanka has any intention of moving stuani upfront, I suspect it may be to do with work rate. I'm only basing this on the fact that when Ramirez went off, instead of putting adomah on the right and stuani upfront, we moved downing in one and adomah on his unflavoured left.
  11. because we always do. That, unfortunately, is how we play. Hopefully Karanka will learn he can't do that when the better teams start punishing us for it. I think we have to credit the macks too, they passed the ball around a lot better in the second half
  12. Just back from the game, brilliant atmosphere in the away end as usual, hope it came accross on the TVs. I agree with the general sentiments people have posted, Clayton and Adomah will have better games, downing and foresaw played really well. Stuani so goal was a stunner. I feel sorry for Guzan though, the goal was his fault but he'd played well up to that point. His distribution is questionable though, not a patch on Steele, dimi or what I've seen of valdes. Thoroughly enjoyed the day and you have to say even when we didn't play well in the second half, the work rate won us the points.
  13. Totally agree Wilson, in fact I wouldn't be surpised to see no transfer in comings or possibly one more depending on outgoings
  14. And we're live! Same team for me, that said I would complain if he made a couple of changes. Nice to have options! Does anyone know of any decent parking spots in Sunderland to make a quick getaway?
  15. Never realised they ran out of programmes, maybe they didn't anticipate the interest
  16. Few observations from yesterday: The light show pre match obviously didn't work but it'll be interesting to see what it's like in the winter. No goal music was great but pre match music was so loud it completely stopped the atmosphere building. The score and time on the screen have been made really small no chance off seeing them. It may be teething problems but the que's for drinks were the biggest I've ever seen them. There were 4 que's but only 2 tills and no one really using the pop up bars.
  17. 32,110 (2,832 Stoke City) Hats off everyone. Hopefully they make crystal palace ticket available sooner rather than later so we can get another bumper crowd
  18. Don't want to dissect the game too much, but unbelievably proud of the lads. Thought the whole unit played really well and it was only a fantastic free kick which stopped us taking all 3 points. Thought both adomah and downing played really well, but you have to say Ramirez and friend were beasts. They can all be proud tonight
  19. Can't understand the call for MORE centre mids! Confirmed that de roon is hamstring which is usually 2-3. Even without him and leadbitter we have foreshaw Clayton and de start.
  20. Cannot wait! Finally back in the big time! I plan to milk it for all its worth now that we are actually going to feature on the national media. Soccer am, football focus and most importantly match of the day tonight!!
  21. If he does start I'd be surprised if it was a mixed reaction, I think he'll be very well received.
  22. Assuming tomorrow's lineup will be... Valdes nsue barragan Gibson friend Clayton de roon adomah Ramirez downing negrado ... Would any of the below team from the last time we played in the prem get into the lineup... Jones, McMahon (Bennett 46), Wheater, Huth, Hoyte, O'Neil, Bates, Arca (Walker 46), Adam Johnson, Sanli, Emnes (Franks 81). Subs Not Used: Turnbull, Shawky, Williams, Grounds.
