  1. Apologies in advance for this thread as having to do it on my phone. But it does not take away the fact that this is our BIGGEST GAME OF THE SEASON. Its Boro versus Bournemouth! Aka Boro versus one of the very few teams we've actually managed a win against all season. Bournemouth versus Middlesbrough Dean Court, Saturday 22nd, 15:00 Middlesbrough put up a fight against ***nal on Monday, well.. barring a few lazy players, and Agnew is still confident we'll get out of this mess. We are managing to actually score every now and then which is wonderful. However we are also conceding do

    Next Season

I haven't been on here much lately so apologises if this has been brought up. Seeing rumours floating about in regards to next season, and that Agnew is likely here to stay and will have no money. Looking at loan deals in the next season. Anyone else heard anything about this?
  3. What in the hell is that line up?! How does Agnew drop De Roon, Traore and Negredo? Jesus wept.
  4. Apologies to everyone as I was supposed to put up this thread a few days ago, but just haven't mustered the courage to even think about the Boro for the last few days. Burnley haven't won away all season, getting three draws and suffering 12 defeats. The odds on them getting their first win against us then? Agnew admitted we were too open at the back with the change in formation, but it was one that actually brought up some goals. What would you do? Except try and find a loophole that allows us to field 12 players. Even then... Would a win at Burnley inspire some confidence that we c
  5. Barragan really surprises me. Negredo is a shock too after his nice tweet about AK but wasn't there a rumour of a falling out at HT at Palace game?
  6. A lot of people aren't happy with the possibility of Agnew being our manager. But Gibson wants results fast. Even if someone was lined up in a week or two to come in and save our season, he isn't going to say "doesn't matter how well Agnew does, we have someone else coming in anyway". He'll want to give Agnew a boost for United game and get results fast. If Agnew gets a win, great. But I see Gibson's comments as more of a boost than a genuine job opportunity. Just my opinion.
  7. I don't mind if it's Clayton and De Roon or Leadbitter for one of them, I'm dying for us to go back to 4231
  8. I think this game depends on if certain players are back from injury. Should Chambers and Friend be back, and we go to 4 in defence with Fabio, Chambers, Gibbo and Friend, then I can see us getting something, honestly. Wingbacks just isn't our system, and I know AK had his hands tied somewhat by having to resort to that against Palace. Valdes Fabio, Chambers, Gibson, Friend Clayton, De Roon, Stuani, Ramirez, Traore, Negredo Back to 4231, giving it a good go. Put Ramirez where he wants to play so he doesn't sulk. Commit bodies into the box. Give Negredo something to work with so
  9. Are tickets sold out for this one? Thinking of making the trip. God knows why
  10. I think Ramirez was the only one who at times showed a lack of effort. So many times he went down and just couldn't be bothered to get back up. There was a throw in to Palace right by us and he didn't concentrate and mark his man. Townsend must've loved Saturday; he had so much time on the ball and was given ample opportunities to cross it in.
  11. Think we'll go with same XI we played against WBA. Defensive lineup needed against Spurs. Maybe see Chambers on the bench. Hope Traore stays on the right if any changes are made mid-game. Looked ineffective on the left... maybe he was just tired.
  12. Don't worry, I wouldn't expect you to write an essay like me. I'm surprise anyone bothered to read it :D And I know the basis to your argument, since you have raised you concerns in the past. I think the amount of money spent would be one of the key points you'd raise? And, no doubt, he has had a lot, can't deny that. And probably wasted a lot to. But - taking control of a struggling Championship club, bringing stability, getting them to the play off final, then promoted automatically, and now in the first PL season a real chance of survival. To be honest, he couldn't really have done a
  13. Looks like that 5-3-2 is wrong Valdes Barragan Bernardo Gibson Fabio Clayton de Roon Forshaw Traore Stuani Negredo
  14. Wonder what her ball control is like? She could be worth a punt... Can she play in the hole? That bird in the link could :D She does have good ball control. Good at headers and taking it on the chest.
  15. Did we sell him for under a million? And now selling Jakupovic for under a million too.
  16. Took me a couple of read-throughs and I'm still not 100% sure.
  17. Could do worse. He's got pace and knows the league.
  18. Jakupovic gone AK's presser Jese official to Las Palmas Good start to the day..
  19. Valdes; Barragan, Espinosa, Gibson, Fabio; Clayton, De Roon, Forshaw; Stuani, Downing; Negredo Dimi; Ayala, Fry, Leadbitter, Traore, Bamford, Gestede Think Friend and Chambers are going to miss this one. It'll be a match won in the middle of the park, so think AK will have three in the middle. Hoping Downing pushes on from his performance against Accrington. I still feel that he knows Ramirez may not feature a lot more and wants to prove his place more than ever. Bamford or Stuani on right of Negredo for me. Think AK will choose latter.
  20. Come on Boro. Let's have some good news today pleeeeease
  21. I agree we'd be stronger but it's if we can get those two new players in
  22. Guzan Fabio - Espinosa - Fry - Friend Leadbitter - Clayton Bamford - Forshaw - Fischer Gestede Would be interesting to see AK go back to 4231 for this one to see how it plays out. But with Ramirez out and Downing out of favour, our number 10 role could go to Forshaw. Believe he played a little there last season? If it is 433 I'd expect Forshaw to be pushing up fairly high anyway against lower league opposition. 6-0 win. Then coming back down to earth with a 1-0 to WBA a few days later.
  23. I assumed Dimi playing for U23s was to maybe get him up to speed for a possible start against Accrington. Just a thought.
  24. While it'd be nice to rest some of our players, I think Aitor wants to go as far as possible in this competition and will use a lot of first team players even with WBA a few days later and even if it is against a League 2 side. I don't expect to see Dimi, Fry, Ayala, Downing or Gestede in the first XI imo.
