  1. Thank you very much! Yes, I definitely hope for a positive result. Of course, as eight years have passed since the last time I watched the Boro, just being able to watch a game in person for me is a great thing. I will definitely follow Bearsmog's suggestion. If the ticket doesn't arrive before my departure, I'll give a phone call to the ticket office before leaving my house for the airport.
  2. I am going to the match on Saturday as from Thursday I am on holiday in South West England and I am making a trip to the Welsh capital. I bought my ticket for the game last week. As I live in Italy, do you think I can receive the ticket before my departure? I had contacted the ticket dept. last month explaining my worries and they told me to inform them once bought the ticket to ensure that I can collect my ticket at the Cardiff City stadium. I did so, I have actually sent three emails until now (two to the ticket dept and one to the supporter services) but they haven't replied yet. Do you think it is worth a phone call to the ticket office tomorrow?
  3. On this day in 2011 Middlesbrough beat Birmingham City at the Riverside by the score of 3 to 1. In the first half Birmingham went ahead thanks to a penalty converted by Adam Rooney. However, a few minutes into the second half and Boro were level courtesy of a free kick from Barry Robson. Substitutes and new signings Faris Haroun and Malaury Martin scored the goals of the 2-1 and the 3-1, respectively (Martin's half volley was really a beauty). This match has a special place in my heart because so far it's the only Boro match I have watched in person (as I said in the welcome thread). I really had a good experience, probably due also to the fact that the beginning of the 2011-12 season was a good period for Boro...You could almost feel the optimism that surrounded Mogga and the team. I leave here a few pictures that I took that day.
  4. Yes, I am Italian. Born and raised. How I became a fan of the Boro: in 2005 Italian TV started broadcasting matches of the Fooball League Championship, something that made me discover the beauty of English "local clubs", so I immediately wanted to follow one of them. However, I was fifteen years old at the time and I was also a bit of a "glory hunter", so I wanted to follow a local team that played both Premier League and European football. That's why I chose the Boro. Obviously, the amazing Uefa Cup run of the 2005-06 season convinced me that I had made the right choice. I'd like to add that I don't have any favourite team here in Italy, so Boro is my only one.
  5. Hello everyone and pleased to meet you. I'm a Boro fan living in Italy. Been a fan of the club since 2005. So far, I've watched the Boro playing in person just once, on the 21st of August 2011 (at the Riverside for a league match against Birmingham City), but I'm planning to repeat the experience next month, this time in an away game. As I am in Bristol at the end of September, due to its proximity with Cardiff, I'd like to go to watch the game against the Bluebirds on Saturday the 21st. I'm just a bit worried about the tickets, so any advice from your side is very welcome! P.S.: Hope to enjoy my time on this forum! ?
