  3. Ok, good, so I think we’re in agreement that this season there have been a catalogue of errors. I don’t think anyone could dispute that (apart from maybe Warnock and his team.) Gone wrong in the sense that this season, as per since our relegation, playoffs should’ve been the minimum requirement. Akpom I feel could’ve and should’ve been utilised better. I don’t think he’s that bad a player but I do think he’s had any confidence smashed out of him and not been played to his strengths, as is the Boro way with strikers. Betinelli is probably the worst signing of the season in terms
  4. Fair enough. What decision do you think specifically was where things started to go wrong?
  5. I don’t think it was a risk worth taking though. Especially for a manager as experienced as Warnock who should’ve known better. Tavernier would’ve made a better captain, at least he always puts in a shift and gives his all.
  6. I think making Britt captain was one of the key moments in ruining the season.
  7. Jonny Howson to finish next season player manager...
  8. This pretty much sums up what I’m expecting to happen. I don’t see Warnock being here at Christmas. I do think that what he’ll leave in terms of the squad, won’t be as bad as most people think. I think we’ll have a much better balance to the squad than when Pulis left. I just hope he doesn’t leave under a cloud. (...just re read what I’ve posted and decided I’d better look for my tin hat)
  9. We were totally poop today. Looked like they couldn’t care what the result was!
  10. Thought we were nothing more than average today. Some glimmers of hope but not really a convincing performance. It’s not like there’s much to play for which makes it more frustrating that the substitutions weren’t exactly forthcoming. Would’ve been good to see 5 youngsters finish the game. Coburn barely had time to get into the game, would 20mins sooner have been too much to ask? A frustrating performance at the end of a frustrating season. Would giving the younger players game experience today have been a bad thing, regardless of the result? I hope we sign Kebano permanently, as well
  11. Another magnificent opener there @RiseAgainst Questions for the audience: 1. Who makes your starting XI? Sol Brynn has to be given a go doesn’t he? I’d say Archer has done enough to earn a contract next year as an emergency back up but certainly shouldn’t be a starter. I’d like to see us go as strong as possible after that. Akpom starting up top with Coburn replacing him after an hour or so. Akpom needs to end the season confidently. Not sure what to do about Kebano, he’s great but if he ain’t here next year then what’s the point? 2. Are we seeing a golden generation
  12. I’ll join. Missed the predictions league proper this year!
  13. Another awesome OP @RiseAgainst looking forward to you seeing the season out! 1. Who makes your starting XI? After Archer’s howler from the corner v Rotherham, I don’t see what Brynn could do that would make him seem any worse than the other two keepers so I’d give him a go. I’d like Malley to start so we can see what he’s like from kick off. Would be nice to have the injured lads back where possible! 2. Given Connor Malley’s man-of-the-match debut, which other youngsters would you like to see in the squad/team? Sol Brynn! 3. If you could only choose one, wo
  14. Will do as long as it’s alright with @Downsouth? I can have it done for tomorrow evening if I get the green light.
  15. I thought Johnson was the best of the subs that came on today.
  16. Sad as it sounds, I’m happy to do any of the threads that people can’t be arsed to do. I actually proper love doing them! Even now, this season! (I’m aware that breaks protocol, just saying.)
  17. @wilsoncgp great post that. I’ve just watched his press conference and feel like he’s playing Britt on purpose. If we had anything to play for he wouldn’t get a look in, but I think he’s playing him almost to ruin his prospects for next season. Britt just looks disinterested and garbage when he comes on. There’s not much chance he’s getting a similar wage to what he’s on now, and maybe not even at as good a club. It’s like he’s asking Britt to prove that he’s as good as he thinks he is, which he clearly doesn’t seem to be. I think he rates Spence but wants more from him and I think i
  18. Where have you seen the line up!? Who’s playing instead?
  19. MFC v QPR, Friday 17th April 2021 Kick Off: 12.30 Location: The Cellnet Riverside Stadium "Tenth versus Eleventh... Will we see a major swapping of places in the league?" This Saturday, an early kick off showcases a dramatic limp towards the end of the season for two teams that may have harboured promotion hopes at the start of the season. The kick off time was rescheduled following the sudden death of Prince Phillip the Duke of Edinburgh, so as not to clash with his funeral. There really isn't a great deal to play for, for either side in this one. We could swap places
  20. I’ll get one up ASAP! Will definitely be before 5pm if not sooner.
  21. Is there going to be a thread for tomorrow’s game?
  22. Well, wasn't exactly a game that'll be talked about much in the future as a season defining moment. Didn't think that Watford were particularly good given the players/squad they have. Cant be too disappointed that we fought back to get the draw, but I am disappointed that we needed too. Hopefully we can go unbeaten until the end of the season and start the next one stronger. Would like to see Kebano and Bolasie still here next season!
  23. Lion v Moose, Monday 5th April 2021 Kick Off: 12.30 Location: Stadia by the Tees "The next game of this season, Incase anyone is still interested..." Well, where to start... probably at 3pm on March 20th v Millwall would've been a good place! It seems that Warnock's boys limp effort to reach the playoffs has become every bit the improbable task some amongst us feared it would be. I was definitely of the opinion that this was the season that we would eventually come good on Gibson's 2017 promise to "smash the league." Or perhaps, more realistically, at least achieve promotio
