I would like to see Gibson move to a good premier league club and proves his worth. If he is any good that move would be good for him an the club he goes to. Coming back to us appears to be a easy option and proves to me he has little ambition. One fact is true he has wasted 2 years of a short career going to Burnley.

I think we need to try and get Simpson from Bournemouth, just in case the Gibson deal does not materialise, at the end of the day we need a CB by the end of next week.

It's odd that Burnley want a replacement for a player that has played one league game in nearly two years ???. As for Britt to Leeds. Get as much as we can get as soon as possible. Leeds are desperate for a striker as Fulham are right on their tails.

I see the football accountants are out in force tonight. I would assume most fans could not give two hoots as to the make up of a players salary package. I would also assume the majority of fans chatting on a fans forum have no idea to the facts and figures of individual players packages. As a Boro fan I want the best for our club but have no interest in the minutia of players wages, as long as the player is good enough and the club can afford him I'm more than happy.

The issue with Qxford is not the cost, loan, buy out right or what. It's all to do with the impact he can make to the team. We need a centre back this week that can influence how we play and set up the squad. If Oxford does not have these qualities he is no good to us in the short term. Yes as a longer term project OK, but we need a player now. That would push me reluctantly to Gibson. if the gossip is true that he has been working out at Rockcliffe all the better. The money issues around Gibson are my main concern.

Absolutely spot on. Fry has potential and we should nurture that, a move to Burnley would be a massive backward step for him. If we are that desperate for money I would much rather see Britt move on, As for Gibson moving in this direction, not sure if that would work, although we are desperate for a fit centre half.

We need two fit central defenders ASAP. That would let McNair and Howson to play in mid field. Both would be better than Clayton and Saville. Clayton and Saville are too slow mentally and psychically to push the game forward.
