  1. how many different forums have you been on? A Leicester one in the summer perhaps?
  2. I see it differently; they are written to protect the EG from any blowback if we end up selling etc. so the average man in the street cannot go "but you said Jones was staying". The fact that all of these things have been mentioned explicitly, especially the Carrick stuff, tells me it's close to being sorted and are genuine positive pieces of news. Is the timing of this article a potential PR spin from the club? Probably - but I don't mind them showing the fans a bit behind the curtain when things are not going well on the field to at least show that off the field, we are doing som
  3. I remember really clearly when I was about 9/10, a guy who used to sit behind me in The North Stand used to openly call Geremi and/or Boateng a "a black ***". Loudly too. and would regularly mix them up as players. I remember my Dad and Uncle telling to pack it in but you can't have a civilised conversation with people like that, so it just descends and then becomes awkward because both you and them are season ticket holders. So I dont think it's a new issue for some fans either sadly but again, I think it's a societal issue rather than that it being cultivated within the fanbase.
  4. He's now scored as many league goals for Boro as Rogers - just for added context.
  5. Now that Azaz is settling in a bit - interested to see the thoughts on how people view the window of selling Rogers and having Azaz coming in with a net income of circa £14m? Seems like a decent bit of squad building IMO but keen to see if other people have warmed to the idea
  6. Really happy to hear this mate.
  7. Great points - who says we werent in for Kieffer Moore and he didnt pick Ipswich over us? it's just not about identifying and making a move for a player but it's also about landing that player too
  8. Exactly, this is why I find what Hull are doing so strange - you are going to have one of Southampton or Leeds in the playoffs this time round.
  9. Scott - the same man who bought one squad player in the first one of those windows for £1.5m and then sold that same player in the second window for £16m? Greenwood and Forss are both CFs, they are just playing in wider forward areas. Those straws keep getting harder and harder to grasp don't they? Especially when your mid-season claims of "relegation" and "jobs for the boys" during a 6 game winning streak didn't take off.
  10. I’ve figured out your true identity….Brigham Young
  11. thats on last years accounts admittedly
  12. every club balances the books, its called FFP... I keep missing this massively obvious point about Gibson being an irresponsible owner - you sure you havent confused Gibson with Reynolds?
  13. Fun fact - Brighton, you know that well run club that everyone aspires to be like are £360m in debt (4th largest amount in the PL).
  14. Well it is because, that debt never impacted the club’s ability to operate because he never called it nor were the club paying interest and now he has actually gone one step further and written it off. struggling to see how he is the bad guy in that situation? criticise his managerial appointments and you’ve got half a point but I don’t see how this is the stick to beat him with
  15. Right…so what’s your point again if there is no debt? And the debtor was himself?
  16. Just to confirm, this is the same man who just effectively wrote off that debt by converting over £100m into shares?
  17. favourite Boro signing ”I’m getting the name Carlos De Peña, am I right?”
  18. That's a good point, just put Hoppe on the bench. He is a striker we are paying at the club - just put him on the bench
  19. I don't how anyone can play to a decent level carrying a hernia - it's so debilitating.
  20. I could see more and more what City liked in him - still think most of his best moments came against lower league opposition in the Carabao Cup though. If Azaz comes good, then it's good business all round for the club.
  21. Exactly. Hull are pushing all of their chips to the centre of the table when it doesn't look a great time to be doing it. I'd rather stay in the game at this point and see how it is looking in 6 month's time. You can definitely tell who the people are who blew all of their Christmas money by Boxing Day when they were younger
  22. I think Villa have paid for potential rather than taking one of our best players. I'm not knocking Rogers either btw. It's bit like when Arsenal signed Oxlade Chamberlain from Southampton in 2011 from League One for £15m - they signed him over Lallana based on potential, despite Lallana being the better player at the time. Azaz was the player that made me say "arguably" as Azaz has done much better in the league this season than Rogers (based on stats) but as of right now, I think that could be argued either way, but it's still a question mark, which tells me Rogers isn't a gua
  23. Exactly. Also look at Blackburn and their business this window. Lastly, Rogers isn't one of our best players - He arguably doesnt get into our starting XI when all the players are fit and available. Hardly a fire sale that some are painting out.
  24. oh good....still waiting on you like
  25. No that's at his private home because he runs the club like his personal ATM (circa 2007)
