Tough one. I'd probably go Forss up top and Azaz behind unless Jones is fit then I'd take McNair out and go 4-2-3-1 with Azaz in no10 and Jones on the right. I'd rather play people in the best positions than shoehorning Silvera in as a striker or McGree as a false 9.

Just hope Carrick doesn't try to be too clever here and sticks with what works. Nothing like Silvera as a striker or McGree as a false 9. We should come into the game with a bit of confidence but Carrick still needs to set the lads up and firing from the first minute. This is just about last call if we want to make the runin a bit interesting. Win the two games this week against Brum and Blackburn at home and it might just get interesting after all.

If Carrick is only going to start with one striker there is no chance we’ll bring in a top class striker and leave Latth, Forss and Coburn as options off the bench or competition while also bringing in a right winger. I think it’s either another striker or a right winger.

I can’t see Forss getting a better move than where he currently is. And I don’t believe any player has put in a transfer request. But I also don’t think it’s a surprise that McGree is likely leaving in the summer. Shame as I really like him. But can be replaced.

Am I understanding this right; is it new that you don’t have to pay your season ticket in one lump sum? Is that really groundbreaking? I think I’ve always had the option to pay a monthly fee at my club here in Denmark if I wanted to and I think it’s like that at all clubs. Costs the same and no additional fees. Would that be three at the back or McNair in midfield? Personally I'm not a fan of three at the back as it requires world class wingbacks but I suppose we really need to plug the leaky hole in defence.

They've accepted that they are going down, so if they think he is the right man for a Championship job then there is no reason to sack him. But if they carry on like this for the remainder of the season the atmosphere will be unbearable.

When it comes to players positions I think carrick is all over the place and is trying too hard to be clever.

It really. We just need to stop making gash signings like Ayling, Thomas and Greenwood who aren’t even good enough for other championship teams.

Who’s really surprised. Almost a third of out field players are loanees who aren’t even good enough to be in the squad at their parent club who are also a championship club. Signing Ayling and Thomas was just plain stupid. But it’s the quality we’re looking at getting bottom half is no surprise with that kind of recruitment and a manager that needs Prem quality to help him.
