I think he’s tried to change things. Not formation but definitely in shape. It’s early still but noticeable that neither left back have bombed on. This used to be one of Coulson strongest attributes and is reported as being one of Engels. Last season we would have Giles wide as almost a winger mcgree would come inside and Akpom would drop. On the far side Forss would stretch the game and then hit the box late. We seem to have moved away from this shape towards standard wingers. Premier league teams normally want FFP covering with loan fees especially if it’s a player they have bought. Chelsea and City are masters at this.
