  1. I really hope we don't see Stuani in these next two games. He's invisible on the wing and that's the only place we will play him. Of course I'm willing to eat humble pie if he comes on and does something great, but I don't see it. Very nervous for this one. I just hope the Ipswich result hasn't put the players in the same mindset as the fans.
  2. Nugent just teed up Rhodes for two good chances in a few minutes, maybe something worth trying away in future? Thank you Rhodes WE'RE ACTUALLY GOING TO DO IT
  3. Leadbitter plays the boring safe passes that our coaching team love, but Forshaw actually tries some adventurous balls now which they seem to think are worse than Hitler. As a result, Forshaw only ever plays in injury situations or for laughably small amounts of time at the end of games. Honestly Forshaw & Gaston (along with Fabbrini earlier in the season) seem to be the only players that don't succumb to this dreary style of play.
  4. In fairness to the team, Rhodes had 1 in his last 11 or something awful like that before he joined. Clearly we're not doing all we can for him, but he isn't the best form himself either.
  5. I know it's the least of our problems right now, but we should probably recall Reach if we can. Downing & Stuani aren't up to the task at all.
  6. First inspiring bit of play all game which is just sad
  7. This might not be the right angle, but this game certainly doesn't vindicate AK. We're still playing the same negative, unattractive tactics. Agnew has literally only swapped nugent for Rhodes and that seems to be as far as his influence has gone.
  8. This has been quite a typical half for us this season. Even in games we have won, many times the first half has been just completely poor.

    Karanka staying!

With no confirmation of what happened, I don't see why everyone is so quick to attack Downing. I have no doubt some players probably are at fault to some extent, but Downing is being treated like a lone man leading a coup. He has not been great on the pitch, but it doesn't necessarily mean he has to be a scapegoat for this. There is two sides to this.

    Karanka staying!

I thought that, it certainly seems very convenient for them to drum up interest. At the same time though, charlton are planning a protest with a pitch invasion so they could have just went with that story to raise interest. I would have thought the story had been dismissed by now so there's a feeling there's definitely something to it.

    Karanka staying!

I reckon this will all blow over if anything has even occurred, but personally this isn't the end of the world. As much as I like AK, I've felt like we could be doing better with the squad available or at the least playing more attractive football. At this point it's way too late for him to go for my liking, but the right replacement could still perhaps do a better job. The squad is there for us to go up and Watford proved changeover of managers isn't necessarily a hindrance last season. If he has lost the dressing room then I appreciate his work, but time to go before we seriously harm th
  12. Robbed of a goal at Elland Road? Surely not...
  13. Why! Why do people keep suggesting this? Why would we possibly agree to a gentleman's agreement to intentionally cripple ourselves just so Blackburn have an easier time? Why do so many people seem to think that was a realistic outcome?! I go a bit crazy any time someone suggests that. Well by the same reasoning you would expect Blackburn want us to have a harder time and therefore agreeing to it could make the deal move a lot smoother. I'm obviously happy we don't have such an agreement, but it could totally have been possible and I'm sure we have seen similar agreements in the
  14. This might be just because of the last two results, but I'm not very optimistic about today. I'll go with a frustrating 0-0 draw. Hopefully I'm wrong. I'm surprised we're allowed to play Rhodes, I would have thought Blackburn would negotiate a gentleman's agreement on that.
  15. It would be great if we could sell Rhys to a Chinese club whilst their window is still open. Their squad registration rules mean that in effect they need 2 Asian players that aren't Chinese and Rhys would count as an Aussie. The reported fee for Trent Sainsbury (an average Eredivisie defender) to move to Jiangsu was £10m which is insane. It would literally be the perfect end to a bad situation with Rhys and a chance for him to rebuild his career whilst earning a lot of money. Back into the real world though, did he get a lot of time in his three games at Charlton?
  16. It seems that way. Is there any report of it other than the Eibar Twitter? They seem to suggest he can't play this season so it must have been too late to register him.
  17. Obviously Rhodes will be the big story, but De Laet could be pretty important. We always look fragile when certain defenders are injured and this might help with that in a major way. As for the squad being crowded, it seems like Kike is gone and I'm sure we will see De Pena out on loan soon as well. It definitely won't seem so after that.
  18. Clayts could probably play terrible for the rest of the season and still win our player of the year award. What an absolute legend he has been so far. Great win which I really didn't see coming. Hard not to be 100% confident about autos right now.
  19. Just a quick summary. Dimi - 7 - Solid, standard performance with a good save from a one on one to throw in as well. Nsue - 6 - Still the best option at RB, would be nice if we could get more consistent crossing from him. Ayala - 7 - Solid as always. Nice to see him marauding forward a bit in recent games. Gibson - 7 - Solid is basically the best word to describe most of our defence. Has looked shaky in some games recently though so I'm glad he's back to normal. Friend - 7 - Typical Friend really, good at the back and dangerous going forward. Their right back seemed very susceptibl
  20. Well it seems like there was a big loss for one Fulham fan today at least. Ouch. http://www.friendsoffulham.com/forum/index.php?topic=50429.0 I imagine Fulham will sack Symons and become one of the better teams in the division at some point, but that's the only positive aspect of the result I can find.
  21. I must admit I find it a lot harder to find anything constructive to post when we win. For example, all I can think of to say at the moment doesn't even involve our team. Of course there were a few things that could be improved about our performance, but my main thought was how bad I feel for Mowatt who looked like he was a few classes above his teammates today. Anyway, very pleased with the result. Our transfer window business looks better each game. UTB!
  22. Any opinions at half time were probably justified. Until Downing scored it looked like a nailed on 0-0 because we were looking very toothless. Sure we were controlling the possession, but we were not creating any decent chances. I'm happy with the results so far, but I think a lot of criticism can be made of some performances.
  23. Personally I just presume everyone's ITK info is absolute bs and then there is no need to call anyone out. But anyway it's not important who said what, it's better to discuss what actually IS happening imo.
