  1. To be fair to Howson, managers have rarely played him in a position where he is going to get goals.
  2. If you'd have asked me before Woodgate got the chop if I'd be happy with Warnock, I'd have said no. I would have said he was too similar to Pulis. But he won me over in the games he managed. I know we lost as many as we won under Warnock, but I saw of couple of positives. First, the football was way better than under Pulis. Pulisball was effective, but it was bloody hard to watch. I thought we played some good stuff in the games we won. Also, he seemed to get more out of Britt than we've seen previously. Pulis seemed to destroy his confidence. I also love his energy. He seems like a genuine bloke, who really can't be away from the game (I can't imagine him enjoying pottering around his house with his missus).
  3. Thanks for the info @diggerlad07. I like Warnock...I love his passion. He seems genuinely excited by the job.
  4. Not sure I agree with all you wrote @Smokedsalmon. I think the margins are very fine in this league. We some decent players upon which to build a good team for this division. I think Warnock has it right - we need about six players (some for def, mid and att).
  5. At this point in the season, I'd rather have the points in the bag. We are not safe yet, but there would need to be a string of odd / unlucky results for us to go down.
  6. Tav and Dijksteel gave standout performances, but it was also a great team effort. Huge relief...things look a let better after that result.
  7. Good grief...both sides looked awful. I'm hoping Warnock will get them fired up after half-time.
  8. I've always believed that you make your own luck. The table at the end of the season won't lie, and if we win games, we'll stay up.
  9. I'm hoping for three more points here. Biggest thing that stood out to me about Warnock was how much fun he seemed to be having. He also made a point of praising the front three. Was it any coincidence that we saw Britt's best game for a while? We looked organized, committed and purposeful. Football is a simple game sometimes, and I think we should be ok against Hull with a simple, straightforward approach.
