Oh yeah, but they won’t have as many saleable assets as the 3 did this year, nor the depth in ability in their squads that they can hold onto, also other benefit is if relegated after 1 year there’s only parachute payments for 2 years rather than 3 or 4 unless they changed that .

Would rather we don’t panic and sign someone now for an over inflated fee and wait until the summer to invest wisely. Equally don’t see a way anyone bar the relegated 3 get promotion this season but can see next season being a better chance.

Well, thank god that’s over.. There’s a month left til the window, we aren’t the only team struggling for signings and lacking players, moves always happen towards the end.. There’s some absolute negative Nigel’s on here today isn’t there?
We can’t want the ‘Brentford and Brighton’ model and then cry when we start doing it. We have the best manager in the league, look at how he turned around players last year.

As a Boro fan living in Norwich it isn’t just Webber they were unhappy with, it’s the entire board. Very little investment whenever they get promoted meaning no fight when in the premier league. Webber getting grief as the front man but they are quick to miss some signings he has made this season including Sara who seems a decent player.
The main issue is their fans have a delusion of grandeur where they feel they are bigger than the championship and deserve / expect premier league football. What happens when you have a one county team however so they’ll always sell out etc

I think we’ll spend in the 5-10 region before player sales, but this may include loan fees too, maybe push to 15 if the ‘right’ player becomes available..
Would expect us to start the season with 3 loans with 2 more arriving before window closes to take us to the 5.
