  1. I'd wear one of my old tops but doubt it'd stretch over the beer belly. Will find something. Red or Dead. UTB
  2. A steady performance but nothing special. Took his defensive duties more seriously than he previously did prior to the loan. Sounds like Karanka is going to give him a proper crack at cementing a first team place next season.

Boro - Barnsley George Friend with group merch Had a few beers by the Ayresome Gates after the match. Leo Percovich the goalkeeper coach came over and downed a lager then smashed the can of his head! Sensed a real connection between the fans and the players/staff yesterday. Next season should be special.
  4. The FLS is dire, I gave up on it months ago.
  5. Eh!? My comments are aimed at Bailey who let/encouraged his misses to slag off a true gentleman on social media which then created a poisonous atmosphere around the club. Skippy had a point (although he's been watching too much Green St if he thinks Millwall have any sort of terrace culture/atmosphere).
  6. Ain't going to happen unfortunately. Blame the ST holders who whined about the last few deals. The club are now petrified of upsetting a small minority of ST holders with renewal time upon us.
  7. I think if your in the privalidged position to be a millionaire by playing sport (not particularly well) then you should perhaps show a bit of respect towards a true club legend.
  8. Vargas done a good job but he's not a right back and teams have been targeting him in the last few games. If we have the money to buy varga in the Summer I'd prefer us to us it to bring in a natural right back instead. There's been a couple of times in recent matches were his lack of pace has left him vulnerable against a nippy winger. He's not the full package buts he's performed ok on the whole. Hopefully a better player is available over the summer though.
  9. He's got to be Young Player of the Year after his performances this season.
  10. Really poor match, the first 70mins it was a real struggle to get enthusiastic. A cracking result though and I think Aitor got it right tactically so that's a positive for next season.
  11. 2300 travelling from Derby! Has to be one of the biggest away followings to the RS this season. Should make for a decent atmosphere anyway.
  12. He wouldn't have had to lunge if the Chelsea lad had just booted it, a lack of communication at the back in this instance. Hopefully Aitor coaches it out of them.
  13. George Friend is in cracking form but was poor for a large part of the season. Grant has been consistent if unspectacular. Albert has to be the stand out performer and the key to a play off challenge next season, despite a few quiet spells he's easily player of the season for me. Ben Gibson has had a cracking first season.

Looked the real deal in his first few games when played in his strongest position. Capable striker at this level I think plus he has to be good for team spirit. Some of the younger lads could learn a thing of two from him both on and off the field.
  15. I'd love to see the same line up and attitude as the first 10mins of the second half versus Huddersfield.
  16. Graham's not even getting £10k from MFC according to Higgy at the recent supporters do.
  17. Ziggy are you the Stockton lad we parked next to? Quite enjoyed that game despite the horrendous standard. We really came out of the blocks in the second half so the change and possibly the team talk must've worked a treat. We seem to have gone backwards defensively recently but hopefully this gets nipped in the bud. There's plenty of cause for optimism next season but I'd like the gaffer to be a bit more adventurous between now and the end of the season because the current system is clearly not working with the players at his disposal.
  18. Anthony Emmerson has to take the plaudits for the recent change in attitude at the club, it's a shame he's gone to Stoke now. The new guy has his work cut out to get the community excited about MFC again. We have the biggest garrison in Europe on our doorstep and a big Uni in the town so I wouldn't be averse to military/student discounts in an attempt to fill some of the seats but an expansion of the successfully family zone should be paramount. Pricing according to demand was mentioned by Gibson in the fan meeting last seasons, so basically if we were playing the top side on a Saturday
  19. Julian Speroni's name just came to mind. Pulis acquired the services of Hennessey in January for 3 mil so he will probably become 1st choice next season. Speroni will become surplus to requirements. He would be a very good signing as a GK. A very good GK and he's only 34 so has a few good years left in him. He was recently on the verge of an Agentina call up! Can't see him dropping down but worth a punt.
  20. Hopefully the confidence gained from breaking our goal drought can push us on for a strong finish to the season now. I'd agree with bringing Albert back into the team, I'm not going to pretend to be the most analytical football supporter but for me you've got to play your best players. Hopefully the public telling off will spur Albert on in the same way it has Muzzy.
  21. My George Friend first goalscorer bet has to come in eventually. Today is the day. Hope the gaffer puts his trust in Jason Steele and also goes for an attacking formation. Up The Boro.
  22. Cheers. Fingers crossed for a goal!
  23. Will be trying to find somewhere to drink near the ground after checking in our digs. Any advice appreciated.
