  1. I know nothing about Stoke- on- Trent but, to its great credit, it's the place where I learnt how to use chopsticks. The waiters saw me struggling, and were kind enough to wait until I was the only customer in the place before treating me to five minutes' chopsticks basic training. Eternal gratitude.
  2. I keep trying the audio feed to see if they've fixed the problem, but it seems to be stuck in the first half about half an hour ago. Bahh!!!
  3. And it's as easy, and as hard, as that.
  4. My elder son is a LUFC supporter. He told me last Thursday that another Leeds fan he knows, who claims to be ITK, says that Charlie Cresswell is coming to Boro this month. He claims that it's definite, all details sorted etc. I don't have a view on the veracity of this one way or the other. I'm just passing on a bit of hearsay...
  5. The lad just needs to be rested for a couple of weeks. We shouldn't be selling him.
  6. This team selection meets with my wholehearted approval. UTFB!! 😊😊
  7. I wouldn't know, I stopped reading his posts months ago 😐😐
  8. There's a contributor on here who goes by the username of "The Jew". I think it's probably high time I started paying serious attention to what he has to say 😐😐
  9. Hmm. No, I don't see things that way at all. I don't know the fella, but my impression of him is that what motivates him is... successful projects. I'm assuming that big money doesn't hold much fascination for him at this point in his career. I think he wants to prove to himself (and anyone else who takes an interest in such things) that - working with a team of like minded professionals - he can develop a middle level club (us) to greater things and, having gained promotion with them (us)... keep them (us) there. To raise the team (us) to a quality level which is sustainable over th

  11. I'm looking forward to seeing Oppenheimer. I've read the screenplay and it's whetted my appetite... The TV series I absolutely love is "The Bureau", also known as "Le Bureau des LΓ©gendes". French with English subtitles, available on Prime and chargeable. The easiest way to find it - because the word "Bureau" occurs hundreds of times and you probably don't want to watch the French version of "The Office" - is to search for "Kassovitz" (he's the leading man). It's a love story, but when one of the parties is a top level spy, adulterous relationships can prove a bit tricky (we've
  12. True, but you don't know how the "herbivorous" handle originated. And I'm not going to tell you.
  13. Celebrating last night's brilliant result with a Marks & Spencer chicken parmo fettuccine 😊😊
  14. I find it quite depressing that many of the reporters show a distinct lack of imagination in preparing their questions. (Do they do any preparation??) It's the same old predictable stuff every time, and I think the good Mr Carrick does well to maintain his composure in these sessions. He does well to stay awake. (Mark Drury, please be aware that I am a fan of yours and am not including your good self in this criticism)

Google was great twenty odd years ago, but it's another of those environmental tools that likes to take over your life. Nothing wrong with installing "Opera" alongside all your other stuff. I think you'll like it...
  16. It was a few years ago, but my missus and I had a really great week in Kinsale. I can wholeheartedly support the positive remarks in BD4's OP - wonderful ambience, food, drink, culture, people - you come to appreciate the true meaning of the word "civilisation" 😊😊
