Yeah - I’m quite intrigued by him; never seen him play apart from YouTube clips. Had a scroll through Blackpool forums and they like him; they think he’ll go back to France or top end championship side.

He could be our next Morgan Rogers - although about a foot shorter.

Kwame Poku is another decent option

A lot of clubs probably will. You'd think he is a good option to replace McGree and wouldn't demand a fee. But is he consistently good enough for top-6 and would he go to a club without being first choice?

Ephron Mason Clarke LW age 24 , 19 goals 13 assists should have been high on our list IMO . Coventry have bought him and left him at PUFC so we have  missed the boat probably.

Why would anyone want to sign Chair when he has been sentenced to 12 months in prison for assault with a further 12 months suspended? It would be madness to have anything to do with him under those circumstances

I know his position , he is appealing, and he is unlikely to go to jail. I will remove him from my post, as you say , maybe keep away under the circumstances.

Word was 4mil for crooks wasn't it? Far older, far less talented and the same kind of time left on his deal. Mcgree played in the US before so similar clubs will probably be after him. I don't think its overly far fetched to be asking that much.

We sold Adam reach for 5mil, if we can manage that we can get a bit more for mcgree.

Forss next , Dieng , Glover , Mcnair , busy time for the recruitment team , if we still have one. ( stats people got sacked ? )

No one is paying that with a year left on his deal.

Maybe not TLF , fee will be already agreed with the buying club , maybe £4m , BUT , we are not desperate ATM , so can name our price a bit higher ,which will go a long way toward O'hare free, Dolan free, Bacuna £3-4m , Knibbs £1m, Sulc £2m. We shall see.

    Unfortunately he's going

£6-£8m at least I would hope. O'hare would be my 1st choice to replace him on a free,Bacuna, Tyrese Dolan , Stansfield options .

What do you know about Forss leaving rumour digger ? And Dieng , Glover, Mcnair .

If we’re looking at League One players I hope we cast an eye on Harrison Burrows, definitely a Premier League player in the making, not sure what his value would be mind

Very good player and a captain . £2.5m ? Worth it IMO , but there is a lot of free options for LB coming up in Max Lowe RN Davies , Sam McCallum , Sam Byram , Charlie Taylor , so let MC decide .

More clamour for league one and two players. Buy those players and that’s where we will end up.

East Enders finished then 😃 .No clamour for L1 at all , no players mentioned from L2 ? Armstrong is SPL .they are the skint options , which we may be . I would be well  happy with  O'hare and Dolan on free transfers , and one from  , Bacuna , Chair or Thomas . I would take sammy Szmodics at the right price . £8m , Jay Stansfield at £6m . Have we got that money to spend ?

Thomas RAM , Bacuna RAM , Dolan / O'hare CAM LAM RAM , Chair LAM Bacuna LAM , they can all move around the 3 behind the striker so any 3 from 5 . O'hare may have bigger suitors .

Bacuna is definately a baller and I’d happily see him come here, he’s definately more in the McGree/Azaz mould rather than a classic cm though.

Heres his heat map for this season, he’s been everywhere but central.

    https://www.sofascore.com/player/juninho-bacuna/788971#tab:statistics

IF Mcgree and Forss go , they need replacing , so Bacuna , O'hare , Thomas ,Chair , Dolan .

Knibbs , Danny Armstrong , Azeez are decent options if money is tight . All technically good and mobile .

There are a few players in League 1 or 2 that I think could play at a higher level. Collins went to Bolton for 750k from Bristol Rovers in January, he scores and makes goals and linked up with Coburn last year. Killer Dunn at Mansfield scores a lot as an attacking midfielder. Now, I know Mansfield look like they are going up but he scored double figures in a relegated Oldham side. I like a player that scores goals in a poor side.

So do I Hammy , Bacuna is a player who scores goals in a poor side .

Hector Kyprianou From Peterborough he’s an actual central midfielder what we need very mobile breaks up play can score goals. Reminds me of Ben sheaf who’s now one of the best in championship

I have sang Kyprianou praises for a while now , scores a few also . Young , tall , athletic .He would be my unproven option . Good choice Donny 👍

Bacuna has played a lot of the left or the right for Birmingham this season he’s certainly not what we need in the middle

    LM 10

    RM 6

    DM 6

    AM 4

    RW 3

    CM 2

    RB 2

Looks like a a player most teams would want , 9 goals also . Name a better affordable realistic option ?

Donny boy , I am not ' our scout ' 😊I love it when the know it alls come up with smart aris answers like above , but between them they cant name a better option 😃 Over to you wise ones 🤓🤡

Can anyone identify a centre midfielder that can take the ball on the half turn and pair those high defensive stats with a great passing ability?

Juninho Bacuna ticks the box for me . DM CM AM , age 26 , knows the league , athletic , 9 yellows so puts himself about , and 9 goals 6 assists this season , £4m should do it. Alan Browne 4 goals 4 assists along side him and we have a revamped midfield .

we heard about dieng leaving to a prem team. but glover leaving? why would he leave? did he get told he was only our no2 and if dieng leaves we'd bring in another no1. so now he wants to leave to. thats the most likely scenario of both leaving.

Came out a week ago Kev, big clubs want Glover , NUFC ,Rangers , Celtic, Copenhagen and others . He will treble his wages. Brynn and Hemming returning covers both , are they good enough ? Apparently the club rate them highly .

Dieng, vdb, hackney, ell not a bad spine to the team.  Definitely something to build a top 2 team from.

Dieng and Hackney have premier league interest scotty , they may both leave this summer .

We need better and Forss can’t stay fit. Jones would be handy off the bench mind

Someone mentioned we are getting Sorba Thomas, who would take Forss RW position if he leaves as rumoured.

It has been mentioned that we are very  interested in signing Kaine Kesler Hayden , so a loan for him or Norton Cuffy is possible .

Ayling has done well so not against us signing him if salary is reasonable, Norton Cuffy loan to buy , Kesler Hayden loan to buy , Cody Drameh free , Danny McNamara free are all good options IMO .

  19. 3 hours ago, macapes said:

Which is all well and good, but it's hardly a straight comparison.

Ayling's been in the team, Carrick has seen what he brings and is available on a free at the end of the season.

The other two are at Premier league teams and likely cost millions.

    It's hardly an either/or situation.

It has been mentioned that we are very  interested in signing Kaine Kesler Hayden , so a loan for him or Norton Cuffy is possible .

For somebody who says they were a scout that’s mental.

I would defo be looking to replace Dieng with the Stiring Albion number one though and replace O’Brien with someone from Barrow 👍

I am NOT suggesting the above , Dieng has interest and will go IMOI also am not suggesting Brynn and Hemming , there has been reports saying the club think highly of the pair , so again , IMO at least one will come back off loan IF Dieng and Glover leave . I would be happy for Dieng to stay , just don’t think he will . Up the Barrow 😃

Your way off it with Dieng and also Ayling is absolutely fine.

stick to telling us which Inverness players we should sign for 2.5 million

Sorry Kieren 😌I have never seen Inverness ! Any good ? 😊 Out of interest Would you prefer Ayling or Kesler Hayden / Norton Cuffy ?

My choice is either of the later .

Said on commentary tonight that Dieng has potential interest in him. Obviously it was mentioned on here too earlier in the week.

Apologies if it's been posted...but are there any actual articles reporting as such?

If we do sell Dieng, I wouldn't mind us looking at Baxter at Bolton. Very good keeper and plays week in week out in a team that consistently play possession football (with him involved in that).

This one might be depending on Plymouth going down, but I'd definitely test the waters on Cooper too.

Edit: Found a Gazette article quoting The Telegraph. Apparently Newcastle, Palace, Sevilla and Ipswich are interested in him.

Palace is odd as they have loads of depth in the Keeper department with Henderson and Johnstone...unless they want him as a 3rd choice.

Suggestions that Brynn , Hemming are  to come back , Dieng will go ,If bids do come in , for him  and Glover . Personally , not bothered , tonight summed Dieng up , can make 2/3 good saves then makes stupid passing mistakes . We shot  ourselves tonight , both their goals were avoidable . Ayling looked tired IMO and was second best to his man . Engel is never aware of his man , his area . Thomas was a slight improvement.

Bad defending by all 4 , bad passing by Dieng , Greenwood is on the beach .

I think Engel could play as one of 3 centre backs.

Engel is a liability , 3 mistakes in 10 minutes tonight , although he did well for the goal, his defending is poor .Edit , the whole defence and keeper are having a nightmare .

How would people feel if we had Ayling and Smith for next season?

I have always been against it as rather it was one of them plus a young more attacking RB given Smith is 32 next week and Ayling 33 in August.

However, I am now thinking would it be the worst case having them two as our RB for next season if there no stand out young RB club are able to pursue in summer. Both are competent and rarely give you less than a 7/10 and if one is out, then you don't lose any experience or know how as other can step in and pretty carry out the same job.

Word is we ar trying to sign Kaine Kesler Hayden from Villa . I would also hope we consider Brooke Norton Cuffy on loan to buy , and also Danny McNamara on a free . Ayling has done well , but , if we play wing backs , the 3 mentioned are younger and more long term. Tommy Smith has done ok , but like Ayling , not long term.

Re checked and adjusted lenahan , smith , Lath , Hoppe , Engel , Dieng £10k pw .Apologies , mistype .

Some sites have Obrien on £45k pw , we won't be signing him permanently with those figures .
