Payero and McNair I’d expect the favourites to be sold. Coburn loan. Crooks and Mcgree other possibilities but if we sell the latter we need a replacement. Don’t think the others need replacing if we get the CM, AM & ST that we are apparently targeting.

My take from that is that Crooks only played the equivalent of 19 games last season even though he was very rarely injured. Willock by all accounts missed large chunks through injury yet only clocked up 136 minutes less than crooks over the season. For me that just shows that Crooks obviously isn’t fancied in this system/position. He seems like a great guy but in my humble opinion if you have a player that you don’t really use because their skillset doesn’t quite suit the style then you move them on and get players that do suit the style. With you talking about “upfront” payments I think you’re getting slightly confused. With regards to Groningen wanting €12m upfront that doesn’t mean they want the cash all in one go, it means they want it guaranteed as opposed to future clauses. Not many deals are carried out with cash up front, most are paid over the length of the incoming players contract. 😊
