  1. A front two of Latte and Archer would be great for this level.
  2. Watched the game on a Leicester stream yesterday. Their commentary team was insightful, fairly balanced but obviously siding more towards Leicester. Provided info about Boro’s pattern of play and tactic. Far better than BBC Tees. It beats Maddos analysis of “he’s a footballer him” and Drury getting over excited at the opposition scoring or what shade of jacket Carrick has got on. Long overdue change needed.
  3. Since the Rotherham away game we have been shocking in the final third. Greenwood must have played 10 matches as a striker now and he is clearly not good enough up front. Surely Hoppe is worth a punt rather than persisting with Greenwood. Forss routinely being played out of position on the wing. It was understandable when we had the likes of Archer up front as he was ahead of Forss in quality. But now we have limited options surely Forss is better suited up front. For Leicester and going forward I’d like to see this starting 11. Dieng Djiksteel VdB Clarke Tho
  4. Why didn’t Hoppe get a run out yesterday. Surely better having him on the bench as an option. I know he hasn’t set the world alight with his loan spells but we did register him in the squad of 25. Surely better than playing Greenwood out of position.
  5. We needed an extra striker after the summer window and didn’t get one. Exiting the January window, it looks like we are still relying on our in-experienced strike force. We currently have Coburn who is apparently crocked and needs surgery. Latte Lath hopefully our only fit striker (if he is fit for the Sunderland game). Still remains to be seen if Forss will be played through the middle. Sadly I think we will be short again. This was clear against Rotherham over 180 mins of football. Extremely disappointing and it un does all the positive work by the recruitment team (VdB, Roger
  6. If we rate Rogers as a £10 million player and Archer as a 12-15. I’d snap your hands off for rogers ‘plus’ 2-5 million. I think he could help us bridge the gap between us and the parachute payment clubs that come down next year. Imagine a starting 11 of: Archer McGree Azaz Jones O’brien Hackney (if he stays) Engel Clarke VdB (New Right back) Dieng backup options of Lath, Forss, Silvera, Howson, Fry, Glover we aren’t far away from a team to challenge autos in my opinion with that!
  7. Having Latte Lath and Coburn as our options upfront is a failing of the club. We saw what the lack of depth did to us towards the end of last season. I’m sure it’s not with lack of trying but if we go through January and don’t bring in an out and out striker I’d see that as a failing. Especially with Coburn’s ongoing injury issue.
  8. I’m a big fan of our new transfer policy of brining in younger players who have a high ceiling of potential. Opposed to buying over the hill championship/ premier league journey men whose contracts run out and there is no re-sale value. I do think we need to keep a balance and bring in a couple of players who have first team experience elsewhere.
  9. I think yesterday was just “one of them”. A fluke of a goal and not taking our chances when they came. Certainly highlights our lack of a clinical goalscorer. However, we are on an upward trajectory, a full first team squad out injured and still only 3 points off the play offs. If we can cling onto the top 6 by the end of January and bring in the right players/ get players back from injury, we will be there or there abouts. Utb
  10. Lack of investment and ambition from Gibson. It’s showing and we have not backed Carrick.
  11. Just goes to show the difference between newly relegated sides and the rest of the championship. Leicester fail to sell Daka to Bournemouth which you would think would rule them out of signing Cannon… nope they look like they are going to complete the deal anyway. 10 million for Ross Stewart is ludicrous imo.
  12. Don’t go to sleep yet, still work to be done…. under 23 fringe player leaves on loan 😂
  13. I could see us dipping into the market of players who are without a club and offering trials to them. Similar to the Watmore, Sol Bamba and Jamie Patterson moves in the last few years.
  14. Rather we spent say £5 million on an attacking cm than Cannon. No doubt Cannon is a good player but an out and out attacking mid or a deep lying striker would be my preference.
  15. Engel and Bangura in competition for starting left back. With a view to potentially filling in at right back should we need him to??
