  1. I would like to see a full second string team, or near enough. Give a lot of those that have played regularly a rest and those that haven't, some game time: -------------------- Dimi ------------------ Roberts - Shotton - Ayala - Friend -------- Foreshaw - Howson -------- Wing/Tavernier - Downing - Braithwaite ---------------- Bamford ---------------- If we lose, it's a cup I don't really care too much about and if we win, great. Win-win!
  2. How are we set up? Baker in the middle and downing on the left or vice versa?
  3. Joined as well. Shame it's set to starting points from the week you join and doesn't take into account previous weeks :(
  4. Cheers, DS. You think that consider it's on the internet someone would be streaming
  5. My transfer Friday wish list: - Gibson new contract - Ripley and Chapman new contracts and out on loan - Downing to whomever - Gaston to Sampdoria (although I'd like him to stay) - Flint to sign for not very much money - Our championship version of Lula Modric to replace Gaston - Decent LW/LF (whatever we're agreed to call them) in on loan as cover [and competition] for Braithwaite - Oh, and Guediora to evaporate
  6. Yup, should've been a foul but it happened before the ball was played so I'm assuming the officials didn't see it.
  7. Except it's not because Braithwaite has played left right and CM at times today, the man is all over the pitch, Bamford has popped up centrally, right and left as well and even Britt is playing deeper at times. It's probably a 4-3-3 but they're not set positions. I completely agree, it's an incredibly fluid front 3 (that actually interchange unlike the AK days!) but I'd assume the above are their 'starting positions'. Some really fantastic link up play happening between the forwards already. Love it.
  8. How did we not score! Please finish those chances come the actual season! Great pressing from Britt and Braithwaite though!
  9. 100% a 4-3-3 with Bam on the right and Braithwaite on the left. We've looked pretty good in possession of the ball recently, liking what I see (barring the goal of course)
  10. If it was to be the 4-3-3 formation, this had to be what I would consider our strongest starting XI (maybe with Fabio in for Christie)
  11. But that's not their business model. They don't buy proven players from big leagues.
  12. Saints won't be spending big on a replacement though, I would wager. Their entire business model is buy small and sell big. Not going to splash circa 25 million on a signing. They buy at 25 they won't sell for less than 50 Apart from Mane three years ago, when was the last time Soton bought a player for above 15m? Boufal last year. And gabiadinni was rumoured to be 15mill. Probably undisclosed though! Boufal went for 15.9m, semantics. Anyway, my point was that 15m is quite a way off the 25m we want for Gibson and Soton have not demonstrated any pattern of spending that k

  15. I've stayed out of the argument so far but that is really pathetic. You can't have it both ways. Was about to write that. Makes a mockery of their own statement from a few days ago hence making themselves look like a joke. Their media handling leaves ALOT to be desired. Everyone knew this was going to be a standard phrase with future deals. Come on... If Girona don't want the fee to be known and insert a privacy clause then what are the club going to do? Say no thanks and cancel the deal? It happens all the time. This. Girona offer the most money then probably suggest we don't t
  16. I empathise with Eduardo Saverin right now... I've stayed out of the argument so far but that is really pathetic. You can't have it both ways. Was about to write that. Everyone knew this was going to be a standard phrase with future deals. It could be that Girona have poor in the privacy clause. Let's say they've offered £4m but insist on a privacy clause, take the money all day I wouldn't have taken £4m for Stuani. He's wo

  18. I'm going to be sad to see the back of Stuani but if Gaston is staying, it does make financial sense as he's going to be further down the pecking order, one would assume anyway. ST: Assombalonga, Bamford, Gestede, Braithwaite RW: Bamford,Traoré, Chapman LW: Braitgwaite, An Other, Chapman, Gaston CAM: Gaston, Bamford, Howson, Foreshaw I think we're a backup LW/LAM short of being set in the attacking department. Elsewhere, I think we need a competitive CB who will be pushing for a starting spot and potentially a backup option there as well. Other than that, I don't think we need to
  19. He just signed a new contract at Fulham, not a chance he's going anywhere for less than £20/25m
