  1. I was worried it was talking about Steven Fletcher! Had the exact same thought :p
  2. I'd like to think Boro present more of an appealing package to potential managers so shouldn't affect our shortlist.
  3. La Liga side Real Betis want to negotiate a loan deal for Boro winger Adama Traore. #boro [@Sport_Witness] http://sportwitness.co.uk/repeating-business-model-work-middlesbrough-transfer-wouldnt-surprise/
  4. Ah i remember when we were a PL side trying to sign players to keep the club a PL side Ah I remember when we signed championship quality players while we were still a PL side. This is just a terrible argument. Because he doesn't play in the Prem already or plays in a lower league he can't be good enough. Idiotic. Where do you suggest prem clubs recruit from? The Prem itself, La Liga and the Bundesliga because anyone else isn't 'good enough'? He's shown this season that he's definitely deserving of being given the chance to make the step up and I would assume he's going to end up t
  5. Ah i remember all the comments when we were linked with Cairney in January, they very much took a different tone...
  6. An article from 2 days ago on SS, seems like he's destined for the Prem. "Henry Onyekuru is in talks with two Premier League clubs, according to Sky sources. The 19-year-old Nigerian forward, who plays for KAS Eupen in Belgium, has been watched by a number of teams this season, including Everton, Southampton and West Ham. His representatives have told Sky Sports News HQ he wants to play in England and talks with two unnamed clubs are progressing well."
  7. Green one and first black one are gorgeous
  8. Transfermarkt has him as a CAM
  9. Apparently Ajax have shown interest in Deleyofeyu and he's willing to consider a move there. According to an Ajax supporting Dutch friend.
  10. So why have Twelfth Man posted a picture with Ben Gibson stating he's been awarded MDSA POTY? Going out on a limb here, I presume MDSA is Middlesbrough Disabled Supporters Association. So an award given by the association, not [necessarily] a player's awards dinner that all players must attend.
  11. From Karanka's twitter: "With my friend Owen at the Middlesbrough Disabled Supporters' Association annual dinner. Nice to see you again! ??" Definitely not a players awards dinner. Let's stop this bizarre 'Real Housewife'-like gossiping about Gaston.
  12. Loving reading what I've already read a thousand times already in this thread.
  13. Rubbish. It may be boring but I far prefer it to struggling at the bottom of the championship with Mowbray or Strachan. People have such short memories. Well said, we have some idiots following our club these days  One thing that irritates me on this forum... The people who are positive (I accept that I used the term 'rose tinted' the other day, but that's hardly derogatory), you seem to think it's OK to call folk who are negative or unhappy 'idiots', 'stupid', 'pathetic', 'bed wetters', 'cry babies'.... the list goes on. Can't you make your positive points without th
  14. It's not just TV revenue and prize money. It's a whole season of increased attendances, away attendances and revenue from away games, sponsorship and merchandise sales. I honestly wouldn't know how to calculate it but it's close to a £150m rise per season in comparison to a season in the championship.
  15. My two cents on Bamford: Scenario 1 - we get relegated: A few seasons ago in the championship he was our best player, scored 18 league goals and won player of the season. If we go down and with Negredo gone, we have a replacement ready to go who knows the manager and the play style and is proven to work. I'd have him over Rhodes any day. Scenario 2 - we stay up and he's a reserve striker: I don't think he's ever going to become more than a mid level prem striker but he's young (22) and English (so will have a resale value). Same points as before mainly, he knows the club and the
  16. Harry Magire on a maraduging twinkle toed run, who needs Snodgrass
  17. If it's an initial loan then yes. As long as he is not the only player to arrive. I would prefer him to Bojan. Jese-Ramirez-Snodgrass looks insane on paper for a club like ours. I still think Jese will eventually end up at Liverpool if they move on Sturridge. He had a long term injury just after his transfer and hasn't really had any sort of run in the team since recovering. Isn't trusted by Emery and isn't being given a chance to prove him wrong otherwise. I believe anyway. Think it's a bit unfair to say he's not a good player based on a troubled 6 month stint.
  18. Yesss!! Accrington Stanley at home!
