  1. I think it was probably a fair result but the penalty miss was bad. Clayton, Wing and Ayala were good but I thought Shotton was awful.Coulson played well but was exposed a few times.
  2. Sort of glad he’s gone and he seemed to burn a lot of bridges in his short time here. Anyone else think it might be Michael O’Neil? Did an amazing job with Northern Ireland and wants to get back to club management? Don’t really want Pullis but he’d sort the dressing room out and give us stability this season. I know it’s wrong but there’s part of me that would like Aitor back, moods and all.
  3. Haven't posted in a while but long time lurker. Still early days so no panic for me just yet. Been in Greece since the 16th so only seen limited action but been reading the threads here. Think the break has come at a good time and hopefully we'll gel over that period. I find it really sad about the obvious decline of George. Hopefully this isn't the end and he can rediscover his form. Cheers
  4. Carayol - Anterior cruciate ligament - Back december I think R.Williams - Achilles tendon - Early next year
  5. To paraphase John Lennon "It's all a load of d!ck". Some very good and genuine points on here and as usual it's all about the Premier League and it's me, me, me mentality. I think it was Tony Mowbray that said the best thing about young players going out on loan to lower league clubs is that they're playing alongside people who are earning their living to pay bills, etc and the get a value of life and care a lot more about the job and how win bonuses, etc to these players are so important and they grow up as men. If they're playing in the B teams with the reserves their hardly going to ge

Pretty much agree with what's been said here. Lovely fella and good to have around but he's just not good enough at this level.
  7. Not sure about this. I'm a bit old fashioned so like the manager to do the major running of things. As ham chop says with Branca's history with Boro it'd be unlikely for him to come anywhere near us. Besides, we could always get Joe Kinnear!
  8. I hope you're right. I just don't think he's any good but as long as he's got the shirt on I'll support him.
  9. Stay classy Newcastle....
  10. Graham hasn't! He's hardly been prolific in the last few seasons has he?
  11. I'll be honest, I know nothing about him. He does look like he's overweight but hopefully we will sort that out. As others have said, if he puts in a shift and bags a few then fair play to him. One worry for me though is that Juke did put a shift in but never scored.....
  12. Great read. I especially like the phrase "That lass in central Midfield, Roger Espinoza".
  13. The Man Utd one is always getting loads of stick. They're usually about 2 days behind. Ours isn't too bad. EDIT - Cracking link btw. Cheers
  14. I used to play in a function band (semi retired due to kids) and a few years ago we played Stoke's Christmas do. I asked over the mics at soundcheck if we could have Huth and Tuncay back. Apparently it didn't go down well with Stoke Directors. Met Huth later, got my picture taken with him and was generally nice albeit a bit drunk.
