  1. So went to the game and was really impressed by Coulson. Man of the match for me excluding Britt's hat-trick. He shown some inexperience defensively I thought but was super comfortable on the ball and I can see him being the perfect FB in the system Woodgate wants to play. I felt Pears did well in net too and was very vocal. Shotton and Howson were awful. Rest were meh. We looked slightly uncomfortable at times, especially bringing it out from the back and they should've scored more in the first half.
  2. Anyone going to the Salford game tomorrow? I'm from Manchester so will definitely be going.
  3. I'm not up for changing managers that often and if we were in the Premiership then I'd trust Tony Pulis to keep us up but I just can't see how he manages us to promotion, so for that reason I'd like someone new to come in. We saw tonight when it comes down to him taking the initiative and having to go out and win a game against the top sides in the division, we really struggled.
  4. I can't actually believe that Ryan Shotton is a footballer, like when asked what his profession is, he gets to say footballer, it's incredible. Adam Clayton who hasn't play a forward pass since October decides it'll be a good idea to try a 30 yard volley in the 90th minute, I mean where is your head at? I don't think I've seen a player be as invisible over two games of football as Jonny Howson, in fact I want him to teach Adama his ways so he can evade his man markers going forward. Being honest, I never even expected us to make the play-offs and in all fairness I don't think I've ev
  5. There's a few lads I used to meet up with down here to watch the games and chat Boro but that seemed to fizzle out a little bit (quite a few of them moved back to Middlesbrough after a few years working here). I've just bought an apartment in Ancoats, if we make Wembley I'll be heading down from Manchester (similarly getting the megabus up for the playoff leg in South Stand). Could be worth a post in here to see how many Boro fans there are dotted around Greater Manchester (seen quite a few footie tops in and about) so you aren't going it alone! Seems like there's a few on here. I
  6. South stand is the place to be for atmosphere if you can find a seat. The whole ground should be bouncing on Saturday though. Nice one pal, going to see if they have anything left.
  7. Hey guys, looking for a bit of advice. I'm going to make this my first ever Boro game(born and raised in Manchester but a lifelong Boro fan, don't ask :)) and so was wondering which stand I'd be best getting a ticket for. I'll be coming on my own(as you can imagine, not too many Boro fans in Manchester) and just want to enjoy the atmosphere as best as possible.
  8. What a time to be alive. First post in however many years, that's how good it is. :D
  9. Wouldn't mind Boyd, was surprised when BVB let him go.
  10. Can I get a PM too please? Please don't be Steele...
  11. Probably Man City, either them or Utd as they're ny local teams but I can't stand Utd and my mum is a City fan with the rest of my family being Utd.
  12. so would mido rickets etc etc .....the point is they should be in the top 5 but could easily be in the bottom 5 We have to take risks though, if we don't we're mid table again. If we were a top 3 Championship club then yeah, I wouldn't go for it but as it stands we probably won't get promoted. Regarding Vargas, really can't see it happening as he's way above the Championship but if it does then I'd put our chances of promotion much higher.
  13. Ireland would be one of the best five players in the division, I know he has an attitude problem but the fact he's willing to drop down tells me something. He's worth the gamble in my opinion.
