  1. Aye, he can hold is head up high. I hope he goes on to have a great career somewhere. Only just checked the forum now. I thought Gibson played fairly well? Fry seems to be getting a lot of praise, but he didn't really do anything except for being lucky Aguero didn't score when he lost his marking. At least we showed some sort of attacking intent 1st half. Gestede looks to be more of a threat than Negredo is. I didn't expect anything out of this match, it feels good not to be miserable on a saturday night.
  2. The sole reason for wanting Leadbitter in the team would be his drive, aggressiveness and his leadership abilities. Frankly, he showed none of that yesterday. I think the biggest downer being a Boro fan this season is our lack of progressive development. We seem to have gone backwards. We started the season with lots of promising performances, but for whaever reason we've completed stopped any sort of progression. 1 step forward, 3 miles back.
  3. Man, I was pleased to see Traore and Leadbitter back in the starting 11. They were both huge disappointments, especially Leadbitter seemed .. well, outclassed in every imaginable way. I was hoping to see some sort of reaction, some passion, fight, whatever. We got nothing. I can sort of understand the like for like substitutes, we're right in the mix and goal difference may come in play. Let's be honest, we were in no way gonna score or create anything by subbing a midfielder for Negredo. I really hate Stuani, but for whatever reason he manages to impress me whenever he comes on as a s
  4. I really don't rate Leadbitter's technical abilities, but I agree we probably need his drive and passion. We're in the mix, looking like a proper candidate for relegation. We need to stick up a fight based on spirit, commitment, and animal-like ferocity. Leadbitter+De Roon + Clayton. Fight for our lives. Hope something comes of it.
  5. Ayala. Aye but it was one blotch on an otherwise infallible performance...... :) Yeah, how we've missed Ayala, huh. I mean, his last two games have been stellar!
  6. Whatever formation we play, we will never score goals. How many times have we seen us have 55~60% possession, and still do *** all with it? No one creates space, no one dares taking a run, get the ball, or do anything. Early this season, Forshaw did it. Now he does nothing.
  7. I really hope I never, ever see Ayala in a Boro shirt again. Nevermind the silly freekicks he continued to make late in the game, but what the *** did he actually do this game? Stuani, while technically as gifted as a giraffe doing ice skating trying to do keepy ups, at least gets into dangerous areas. For me, trying to be clever and play a formation that is supposedly a counter to whatever Crystal Palace is playing was a huge mistake. We don't have to change things up when we're playing scrub teams like Palace. Just do whatever the *** we did last time and pray to god Traore has a great
  8. Bernardo against a quick winger. Yikes. I'd rather have Fabio right back and Husband left back even though he is rusty. But as has been mentioned I expect at least one of chambers and friend to play. probably will have one of them play. their quick winger is on the other side though. our quick winger is infront of him. he wont be that busy defending imo. If Sam has any nous whatsoever he will know about our problems at full back and should look to exploit that. Expect Townsend and Zaha both to start. Also if Karanka has any nous he would know Sam knows that and know Bernardo would b

Incidentally, a statement is simply an utterance based on either facts or his own personal opinion. His statement is not to be confused with an argument though. No that's not true :P Sorry for being late, but how is that not true? If you want to be picky, you better make sure your definitions are on point. The "that's not true" one liner was extremely tongue in cheek and was supposed to be me doing the very thing I was complaining about earlier. I thought the smiley face poking
  10. I was writing my opinion not yours if you can allow that, I don't remember you expressing an opinion only throwing statements out there really. Then using the old 'my opinion' card when someone calls you on it Incidentally that's not an opinion just a observation To be fair, his statement expresses his version of truth - an opinion. 12. But.. isn't he .. you know, dead?
  13. And if Karanka says "We were *** poor", we'll blame him for poor man management. "The fans are not behind us", Karanka is having a meltdown. "We did our best", Karanka is delusional.
  14. We did soooort of try this approach, didn't we? Our defensive shape went tits up. We did look more lively going forward though.
  15. I'm usually overly positive about our defensive abilities, and I don't even mind the lack of attacking intent that much. I love the way we are set up, but to think we did well this game is being blind. We never, ever deserved anything from this game.
  16. I don't really think we defended that well. We were lucky they didn't score 4, 5, 6 goals. They certainly had the chances for it. Chambers in the RB position doesn't cut it for me. He's too slow against many of the wingers in the Premier League, and Son completely owned him again and again. I'd much rather he played instead of Bernardo. We were just outclassed in every position. Guediriariarairao did horribly when he first came on, but at least he did show glimpses of creativity, but best of all he showed some intention, drive, cojones. He offers something we don't currently have in Fo
  17. What am I doing watching Hull v Liverpool then.. Hull 1-0 after a corner. Terrible by Mignolet.

  19. That article is from the interview he did with Wednesday after signing. It's on their YouTube channel. He does not sound to have any grudges with Boro or Karanka. He's just happy to get a chance with the Owls.
  20. Think it was a mixture of both to be honest. Stronger on the right and looked very tired. He looked good on the left vs. Accrington but that's entirely different to playing against Walker/Trippier. He didn't really get to challenge Nyom either. I'd prefer him on the right as well, he doesn't seem to be willing to take a shot from distance. Hopefully, he adds that to his game eventually.
