  1. On his squad's fitness and availability: "Gaston Ramirez is still recovering. I hope he can be training with us next week, maybe Monday or Tuesday" From t http://www.mfc.co.uk/news/article/2016/middlesbrough-fc-boro-aitor-karanka-press-conference-spurs-3551757.aspx#TAZzusoJMcIZU3VI.99
  2. wait you have both your arms. wtf EDIT: got ya ¯\_(ツ)_ ¯
  3. Blimey, Beta. Did the missus give ya a treat or something?!
  4. He's hardly match fit. Come on, didn't you see AK's press conference? His observation isn't far off, is it? He has done nothing in this game. Some of his mistakes are not down to match fitness, just poor technique at times. Hopefully he'll catch up soon, I like Bamford. Fairly decent result, it could've been much worse with that start. We dominated first half, second half was a bit of a let down. We are reaaaaally dependent on Traore going nuts. Hopefully, he'll keep up the rhythm. I would've liked to see Fischer on instead of Bamford. Or simply Bamford up top, Fischer on eith
  5. Wush, interesting match, isn't it? Didn't think it'd be this back and forth considering the two managers on the sideline..
  6. "“I don’t know," he has told Sky Sports. "Because I have a lot of people in the club working and I trust all of them. I said on Friday that I had two games to prepare for. We won the game on Saturday and I think to win today is important so what's going to happen tonight I am really calm.”" Karanka
  7. "There have been rumours that Jay Rodriguez could leave Southampton today" Please?
  8. Bloody hell mate don't you start getting negative as well. If you, Boro 86 and a few others cross over to the dark side we're all knackered. Don't worry, I'll be in the match thread later spewing positive utterances, confess my love for Karanka, and possibly even say Bamford's movement is clever. Oh, and that Fischer will soon be the player to fetch us out of our misery.
  9. Maybe if they didn't spew *** constantly.. Nah, it's been like this since Karanka took over, right? Probably why they hate him so much.
  10. He was asked if Ramirez would've been starting tonight and he said 'No'. He was then asked if he would've been in the squad and he said "Yes". This was yesterday, I believe.
  11. With Hogan joining Villa, they've spent more in the Championship than we have in the Premier League, right?
  12. Surely, SG would've sacked Karanka in the beginning of January then. We spent 7 years in the Championship, I honestly doubt SG would forfeit us to the Championship based on allowing a new manager to bring his own players in come summer.
  13. Next stop: USA Or if Trump somehow manages to ban Hispanics from the country, he might as well go to China instead.
  14. Sounds more like slamming the media - "It is easy [to accept] because, here, and for whatever reason, I am blamed. It is always going to be the same. I am the one responsible, and I am used to that." Karanka needs some coaching in media management though.
  15. I think he was starting to impose himself more and settling into the side and the way we play. I think he has been missed for the past 6-7 weeks since he got injured. I think you're dreaming mate. I'm not sure how to put that more respectfully, sorry. He did nothing in a Boro shirt before the injury and has not contributed at all so far. At the moment the signing is on a par with the de Pena transfer. I have to agree with you on this one CT. Fischer has looked like a complete nothing player so far. Can't see what he offers at all. Comparing him to de Pena might be stretching
  16. No there mustn't. This is becoming seriously boring and frustrating to say but.....1 more time.... if we have a target that is available, but the selling club refuses to sell to us then we can do nothing about this. It's not the club's (or anyone who works for the clubs) fault. It really can't be that difficult to understand can it?? If the Assistant Manager says it's a realistic target, we should just make a board request for more funds and sign 'em up.
  17. I think we have to remember that Karanka is not directly involved in transfers. He said something along the lines of the chairman knowing which players he likes. Bojan/Jese rejecting us has nothing to do with Karanka. On Karanka saying Gestede/Bamford excites him.. what the *** did you expect him to say? "Yeah, we brought two new players in, but man they are terrible and I'm having a hard time with the missus now cus they're so boring to watch" The club is not dragging this out. I'm 100 % certain they've identified targets a long time ago, but these transfer windows are often a jigsaw p
  18. Absolutely spot on!! It comes down to whether we want to be in possession or not. De Roon is arguably a bigger threat in the box than Forshaw, but is definitely technically inferior to Forshaw. Slotting Forshaw in De Roon's position most likely means less possession as De Roon would be forced into a 'controlling' midfield position with his main duty being distributing the ball to either flank. I agree Forshaw is far more creative, but it most likely comes at the cost of having less possession and being less in control.
  19. From what I've seen on here, people seem to like Fabio. I don't really think he's that good. He's not bad, but I think he's more of a back up than first choice. I know it's unlikely, but I'd like to see Chambers play RB more with Ayala coming back into the centre. I'm with you there. A lot of the love for Fabio comes from how enthusiastic and mobile he is. He get's up and down the line all game long. But I don't think he's that good technically or defensively myself. What you described is my dream scenario. Chambers showed yesterday that he can do a good job at full back in an attacking s
  20. Spot on. Couldn't have said it better myself, some of the fans I sit near in the south stand really don't understand football with some of the comments they come out with and that long balls don't work 90℅ of the time so I can see why someone as intelligent as karanka would be frustrated by the calls to hoof it long just to get it further up the pitch. Hmmm. Maybe you don't understand football either then mate - LOL :) I think you need to look at the long ball stats, that we play under Karanka. We also have the 10th most passes of all teams.
  21. Friend supposedly unhappy at Boro. He wants out. jk. im just making *** up based on nothing
  22. Yes. He would've called for offside, slammed his team, and walked out of the ground immediately. ZzZzZz
