  1. Is that our last 4 goals conceeded from set pieces?

just going to make that point curtis. from open play we defend really well probably because our crntre backs are quick and mobile but from set pieces we lose loads of headers . i havent seen this goal but was it near post flicked on like so many others.

Other way around - headed back into the box, think Noel Hunt was credited the goal

  2.

Has it occurred to you that Robson was shouting at the rest of the team for their ineptness today?

Robson is a leader on the pitch and regularly has a go at his team mates (which they often deserve).

I think his poor form and lack of running today might have something to do with the injury he picked up in the Millwall game.

Cheers for the welcome, Downsouth :)

Nothing bad in shouting at the team occasionally, but it was every single time he lost the ball. Why not chase the ball like a frisky dog, slaughter the man who has it and then shout "Come on you f... " something like that? I love Robson, don't get me wrong, but that is not leadership in my eyes.

I remember watching a Milan game some years ago, Inzaghi's coming in from sub and the first thing he do is a ridicoulus foul but it ignited the team and fans and ultimately that led to the victory.

Are you suggesting risking getting sent off / injuring an opponent is a better form of leadership than telling your players to pull their socks up? :s

Yeah, just injury 'em all and hope for the best.

.. You probably get the idea mate.

  4. Haven't read anything in this thread so far, so be gentle..

I'm absolutely disgusted by Robson's attitude towards his teammates, he's constantly shouting at them and refusing to run for the team. He's lost countless of balls and instead of chasing the opponent to win it again he just waves his arms in the air and walks the other way, what a loss he's been today.

On the other hand - The Juke has been absolutely great IMO. He constantly offers his help and passes the ball very well. Too bad he didn't score the header. Emnes was good in 1st half, although that man really has to start pass that ball faster(!!!!!!!!).

I excuse any grammar mistakes, I'm not exactly from England..

And Robson should exactly do that, we had a chance to earn promotion today, albeit only 3 points we failed on so many levels.

Robson shouting shows heart and desire something we have clearly lacked today.

Shows heart by not trying to win the ball back? We are clearly dissident on how to show heart and desire.

I propose our midfield to look like this.

    Haroun - Bailey - Williams - Robson

    or

    Haroun - Bailey - Williams

    -------- Robson --------

    or

    --------- Bailey ---------

    Haroun - Williams - Robson

    Thoughts?

    Well, 1st post on here!

As I'm from Denmark I haven't seen that much from Boro lately as they are not shown often on danish television, however, based on the Sunderland game (where he actually played as CM) I'd say he's absolutely rubbish if played as OMC. His first touches were off, his passes seemed performed in a panic rush (admittedly many of the balls he received were basicly ***).

I can see him dominate as CM or CDM as he intercepted Sunderland's play so many times and ultimately leaving my mates disoriented in my livingroom after me roaring "BEAAAAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
