From what i remember hearing Robson used to lose his rag with him constantly in training because he never used to pass the ball, just used to take it round everyone and score.

thats by the by now though, last season is irrelevant now. We're not struggling to score goals at the moment we've scored the most goals in the league bar West Brom. He brings something a bit different to the table for us. He might well be a pile of gash, but he may do a job for us. If this target man plan that Southgate has been mentioning for a while comes to fruition, then he may just be a shrewd piece of business. Then again it could all go horribly wrong.

I've seen a lot of him, he was ok in the Champ for City. People need to stop going on about his goalscoring rate, he isn't a goalscorer, he makes space and holds up the ball. I think all it will do in the end is encourage English sides to poach younger players from abroad. Get them in at 16 and by 19 they are classed as home grown. Lets face it 95% of British players have always played their first 3 years here, so not a lot will change in that respect.

Thats not technically true. You have to have 8 HOME GROWN players in your squad. That by definition is someone who has been at a club in the UK for 3 years before the age of 21. Technically Fabregas is a homegrown player.

I think everyone is jumping the gun here a bit. The price of £3m has been banded about, but he's coming on loan initallly. Thats IF it goes through at all, we are talking about the EG here and they tend to be a big soggy around the edges with facts and details. Living in Hull i've seen loads of him. He's not really that good. Like people have said he is a hard worker and he will run all day for you. He's got a bit of pace too. But he's not a goalscorer, and he would never claim to be one to be honest. Is he what we're looking for? I'm not sure, maybe the step down to the Championship might do him some good.

Liking that signing. Like someone said before it could have been Balde. I've never seen him play but i have heard good things about him. Hopefully will be the pace injection we need at the back.
