  1. Small rumours that Boro are interested in Sam Vokes.... don't know much about him like.
  2. I know very little about these 2 players that we have been linked with. What are peoples thoughts?

Jesus, what a load of guff Ibby spouts. Seriously lad, you should cut down on the coffee or something. I just thought you had some keys missing from your keyboard. But it could be more than that. :D

Balde is gash. St Ledger would be a much better buy.
  5. I wouldn't have Folan or Fagan, neither of them are very good ball winners in the air. And Folan is a big donkey. Fagan is ok, but there are much better suggested in this thread.

Absolute hogwash. Being motivated by a manger or anyone else in a senior position is very much integral to liking a job. I've had several jobs doing what i do now, and i've only liked working in about 3 of them. Thats because of good management and an excellent structure to the company. Staff do not like a manager manager who is unmotivating and basically a knob.
  7. Because a decent manager would have gone through him like a dose of salts. Instead of pussy footing around him all the time. If he'd have been at any other club he wouldn't have been going AWOL, because he'd have been put in his place long before that was to happen. A good manager would have played to his stengths instead of leaving him up on his own all the time stranded. Obviously he should have scored more last season and i'm not blaming the management wholeheartedly, but you just know that if Ferguson, Wenger or O'Neil had had him at their clubs he would have been scoring.
  8. You know, i reckon if Alves had gone to any other club with decent management in the Prem he'd have been banging goals in for them

    What about Anichebe from Everton?
  10. Middlesbrough's record signing Afonso Alves has left the club after completing his move to Qatar. Alves was signed in January 2008 when Boro paid Dutch outfit Heerenveen more than £12million for his services. The Brazil international initially settled in well on Teesside, opening his account with a brace against Manchester United and finished the season with a hat-trick against Manchester City. But he flopped last term with just four goals as Boro were relegated. Over the summer Alves made it quite clear he wanted to leave the club and he went AWOL during pre-season as he failed to t

Don't really see the fuss with him to be honest. He did score a decent goal i'll give him that. Not really done much since like.
  12. I wouldn't have Cousin at all. He's proper gash. Seen him a few times for Hull and he doesn't have much going for him at all. I'd rather have King back as a target man. Is Dean Ashton still injured? He could do with some first team action.
  13. Surely from the £23m we have just got from our transfers we would be able to sign Hulse and pay him for 2 weeks whilst the Alves deal goes through? Or are we too f*cking skint for that now?

I don't think Hull can afford them both. They can't agree personal terms with anyone at the moment.

    Hulse

Hulse could do a job for us i reckon, he's the kind of player that we need.

    Danny Coyne

You need to work on your English but nobody complains about that. I think Coyne has been a good signing for us. Good shot stopper, touch suspect on the crosses, but since when have we had a keeper that could do that eh? I like him, think the 3 players that we've brought in this season have all been very good so far
  17. true but if we pay the 5m that was rumoured a few weeks ago then I will give up........ Oh yeah, i completely agree with you, that money is just stupid.
  18. I don't think Hulse will be that bad to be honest. He knows where the back of the net is. Better him than Webber
  19. I think the simple answer to the original post is that we will be signing absolutely nobody. There is something seriously wrong at MFC if we get £23m in for players sold and cannot afford any free transfers or loan deals. Don't think we'll see Wheater or Jonno go yet. Although January might be a different matter.
  20. Radio Tees for some reason doesn't broadcast the actual match, just all the talk before and after. is there anywhere else that might have some commentary on? Long shot i know, but you are defo the lads to ask :)

    Ali Brownlee

I rang Gordon Brown for a quote on it. He said if we struggle he will sign on for us in Jan. He'll only want £35k a week and a £2m signing on fee. Bargain
  22. Couldn't have said it better myself.
  23. I'm stick of the utter sh1t that this club comes up with. How can the justify selling 2 of our top players as cut price bargains. The top brass all know that the fans want Huth to stay (and Tuncay, but a lot of us are expecting him to go anyway) yet they ignore the pleas and just sell him on anyway. So does this indicate that we are unable to offload Alves? Surely getting rid of Alves and Tuncay would give us the headroom that we require, enabling us to keep Huth. What about people like Shawky etc? Why hasn't he been shipped off, he would reduce the wage bill, even if it was by a l

    How ironic...........
  25. I wouldn't advise going under any paths at all. The digging involved would be incredible.....
